Archive for '6 month old portraits'

This cutie came to us a few months ago for portraits in the studio, and here he is again at the farm! He’s definitely grown a lot since we last saw him- he’s sitting up now, and has the cutest little baby curls. He loved when I ran over and tickled him, so I got quite the workout at this session- sprinting back and forth to get him to laugh. :)

Mom had some great outfits picked out for him, too. I love this first shot in the sleigh with the snowglobe!

I was originally supposed to meet baby N a few months ago, but our session didn’t work out.  Boy, was it worth the wait!  N was such a joy to photograph.  He had the most contagious smile and killer hair.  Mom loved simple and classic baby portraits so we kept our sets fuss free.  Our session flew by focusing on all of the classic baby poses and N’s adorable features.  Of course we had to get the quintessential naked baby shot at the end.  N sure did smile when he could go clothes-free!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

It has been so fun catching up with my baby plan clients in my first few weeks back to the studio.  Our baby planners get scheduling priority, so of course they were the first to get in after my maternity leave.  And how lucky have I been to return to all of my favorite, adorable, smiling faces!  I last saw baby G for her newborn session where she slept away for me.  Now, at 6 months, she is full of personality!  We had fun playing dress up and then dad saved the day at the end with some videos on his phone to get those last few smiles.  It especially came in handy in the garden where G was more interested in eating the flowers than posing with them!  My kind of girl.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I photographed E and P’s wedding a couple years ago, and it was so good to see them again! I was so happy to meet their new addition, too.

Little miss E was certainly ready for her closeup, and rocked her first time visiting a beach! She loved the water, loved the sand, and was a great sport for her family photos. 7 months is a great age for beach photographs- babies are expressive, curious, and really love to interact with the setting.

We’ll have more previews coming up on Thursday. In the meantime, Happy Fourth of July!

This first picture is just too cute not to post. Baby M wasn’t too sure about our Tickle-Me-Elmo, and made this face every time I tried to make him laugh with it. Luckily, M was pretty sure Mickey Mouse was an okay character, so he stayed in the studio with us for the rest of the session. Mickey managed to get some pretty cute smiles! :)

The plan was to do a sporty look, a classic look, and then head outside for a couple shots outdoors. M rocked his baseball look, and when we got outside, couldn’t stop laughing at the family dog running through the grass. Pretty cute!

C family, thanks for coming in!

I was so excited to finally photograph the B family for our session together last week.  I’ve been waiting so long to meet these boys!  Mom and dad originally planned on coming in for a newborn session, but life often has different plans with newborns (especially twins!), and we decided to move the session to 6 months.  I’m so glad I had the opportunity to capture their sweet personality and big smiles!  Mom and dad were so easy going and we had fun together taking family portraits and trying to get the boys smiling.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I had such a good time with 6 month old baby D last week.  He was so good-natured and smiled our whole session away.  As he started to get tired towards the end, we broke out our Elmo toy and it just cracked him up.  He spent the rest of the time giggling and his laugh was completely contagious.  I’m still laughing just thinking of it!  We captured plenty of classic baby portraits as well as all of the fun sets that I love for babies who are able to sit up.  It was truly a perfect session, and I can’t wait to share the rest!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

We had a dreamy week at the studio last week, starting with this gorgeous baby girl.  All of our April newborns are going late, and most got moved out of last week, so I had lots of time to catch up and enjoy the gorgeous older babies who paid the studio a visit.  6 month old A had an amazing session with us.  She was full of expression and loved posing and playing.  Of course having a gorgeous mom and dad didn’t hurt our session any!  We started with some beautiful family portraits and then let A steal the show.  I have so many favorites, I wish I could share the whole session with you here!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I’ve probably said it one hundred times, but this is my absolute favorite age to photograph!  Just looking at these portraits brings a huge smile to my face.  6-9 months old is the perfect time to have baby portraits taken.  In fact, if you could only have baby’s pictures taken once during their first year, I would recommend this age, hands down.  Their little personalities are starting to develop, they are full of smiles and giggles, and you can get so much variety out of all the adorable ways they will pose and play.  Baby D was such a joy to photograph last week.  We kept his session soft and classic.    Some of my favorite portraits are of him and mom together just having fun.  I know these will be treasured for years to come.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I have been so spoiled with all of these adorable babies lately!  Baby V was completely gorgeous and full of personality.  She was on the move and loved crawling around the studio.  We started the session with some casual and candid family portraits and then let V steal the show with those big blue eyes.  And check out those lashes.  I know a lot of women who spend a lot of money to get lashes like those!  This natural beauty was more interested in exploring than taking pictures, as most new crawlers are, but luckily Shaun came in at the end and stole her heart to get those last few smiles!  Enjoy your sneak peek.
