Gosh, I love this baby girl! She is so much fun to photograph because she is so expressive. From giggles, to surprise, to the far-away-stare, I loved catching every facet of her fabulous little personality! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was snuggling her as a newborn I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. I loved catching up with mom and dad again and creating some fun family portraits where L showed off all of her new moves. She was taking wobbly steps and standing proudly throughout our session. These two were so much fun to work with at our location by the bay! As we were driving down to it, I could see that there were some swans at the location from the road, but I had no idea there would literally be about 100 of them hanging out in the water there! Of course we used them for some pictures. It was like the Notebook, only without the rainstorm and rowboat.

S and D are expecting a baby boy soon, and we couldn’t be more excited to meet him in just a few weeks! Enjoy your preview, guys!

Happy Birthday, Baby C! | MA First Birthday Cake Smash Photographer

I was so excited to start designing this session after meeting with C’s mom at the studio to plan it out. She showed me a photo of the cute little pink and green whale decorations for C’s first birthday party and asked me to match the cake smash set to them. I made the hot pink whales, then created 3-D DIY bows to go between them for a girly, preppy look. Love how it all came out, and I think C did, too!

We kept things classic for her individual portraits. I especially love the ‘sea glass’ set with her blue dress…it’s a girly, soft twist to the nautical theme that’s so popular right now.

I’ve loved photographing this beautiful family over the past few years and was thrilled to hear they had a baby boy on the way! I had the chance to meet adorable baby C last week and capture the joy his family felt in welcoming him. Big sister Q was adorable as she loved him up. I couldn’t get over how much she had grown up since our last visit. She was talking up a storm and hamming it up for me. We decided to take our session outdoors at the very end to capture a few portraits with a nautical feel for his nursery. I love all of the classic baby blue. So simple and timeless! Fun at the studio for the U family portrait session!

We had two beautiful families visit us for portraits in the studio last Monday. The U’s arrived in the afternoon ready for fun. Mom wanted all family portraits rather than individuals of the kids so we focused our session on capturing their relationship with each other. With two young kids on the move, we kept our session full of games, tickles, and lots of running about. You can see how much they love each other through their big smiles and hugs. Classic, clean, cute! Loved this family’s style. 3-year old K was such a good big brother to little L- hugging her, kissing her, and posing with her. Mom wanted everything to be very classic and simple, focusing on their gorgeous kids’ features. Even though it was L’s naptime, she hammed it up for the camera, and K sat still just long enough for me to get some good smiles out of him.

Welcome to the world, Miss M! | Rhode Island Newborn Photography Studio

This little miss visited us at the studio last Friday. She started out wide awake for her family portraits, staring up at mom and dad as they loved on her. She was a social butterfly even in her sleep on the beanbag- giving us all sorts of smiles and smirks as she dreamed. At the end of the session, we let her lounge on the beanbag un-posed, and she fell right back to sleep with her arms over her head, her preferred sleeping position.

Congrats on your new addition, G family! She’s beautiful!

The C family welcomes their newest member, newborn baby E.

I have loved working with this family over the past few years and especially look forward to catching up with mom at each of their sessions. She’s always felt like one of my girlfriends and our oldest daughters are close in age so we enjoy swapping mommy stories! I first met them when big brother A, now 2 1/2, was just 3 months old. They are a warm, loving family as gorgeous inside as they are outside. Big sister A, now 5 1/2, was so adoring towards her new baby brother. She seemed suddenly so grown up to me as she watched over him and held him close. We captured so many gorgeous family portraits, they had mom and I both in tears during the session. I could sense every moment that E was a beautiful gift to the C family. I hope I caught just a teeny tiny fraction of the joy baby E brought to everyone. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet baby O was born ready for her close-up! She arrived to the studio alert as can be. I couldn’t get over how she stared right into the camera for the entire start of our session. All that hard work modeling must have worn her out because she was soon nice and sleepy. She posed perfectly in her sweet princess crown, on our spring branch, and high up in her swing above our colorful garden. I can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek!

My goodness, what a gorgeous couple these two are. Gorgeous on the outside and inside! I can tell they’ll be fabulous parents to their baby boy, due to arrive in just under 5 weeks now. We wanted to create a relaxed, serene session that captured K and E naturally, so we chose our go-to outdoor setting by the bay. This session was photographed around 5pm, when the sun is lower in the sky, and I love how soft and quiet the light was.

K and E, we’re so excited to meet your baby boy in a few weeks!
