Archive for '6 month old portraits'

Gorgeous baby S is a natural in front of the camera.  I last saw S and her big brother for her newborn session back in the summer.  I was so thrilled to see them on the schedule again to capture some 6 month portraits (my favorite age!!)  Still so photogenic, S was full of smiles and so easy going.  We had a ball playing dress up and playing with different sets.  S just went with the flow and smiled through it all.  Thanks for such a fun session.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Oh my goodness, I have been in baby heaven lately.  I have had the most adorable baby girls to play with at the studio.  6-9 months old is my absolute favorite age to photograph and January has been full of them.  Baby L is just gorgeous.  From her big brown eyes with lashes to die for to her pink pouty lips, she belongs on the cover of a baby magazine!  We had so much fun dressing up and playing with props.  I am so partial to this age because once babies are sitting up on their own, we can get so much variety in our session.   L was also on the move.  And boy did she move fast!  I think she’s crawling in over half of this gallery.  This age is also full of expression and giggles.  I’m instantly happy just looking at these.  Enjoy your sneak peek.

Little Star sessions are some of my favorites.  It is a shorter studio session we offer that is focused around creating portraits of a single baby or child.  Photographing one child or baby at a time allows me to really get to know their personality and capture their unique expressions.    It’s perfect for updated baby photos, to capture a special milestone, or to create artwork for a child’s room.  We also have many clients book Little Star’s for their youngest child because older siblings often have individual portraits while the younger siblings don’t have anything of just themselves.  These sessions go by so fast!  We spend more time getting creative, playing, dressing up, and focusing all of our attention on your little star.  Why wouldn’t I love it?!  Baby H was one of my most recent Little Star Sessions and she totally blew me away.  I had the pleasure of meeting her for her newborn session when she was just days old.  I remember her being beautiful and very alert.  Almost 8 months later, she’s still a social butterfly and so photogenic.  I was excited about these photos even as I was taking them, so I can’t wait to share them all with mom and dad.  Someone on facebook commented that she looks like a Snow Baby in the first portrait, and I totally agree, only even more perfect!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

We’re here late at the studio tonight, wrapping up our long before-Christmas to-do list.  We’re eating too many Christmas cookies (thanks Meg!) to keep our energy up, and just counting the hours until Friday.  Despite the very long day, in the past hour I have exclaimed multiple times that “I love my job”!  Mostly because I was editing this folder….. and partly due to the sugar.  How could you not fall completely in love with this face?!  T is just too cute for words.  He looooved the camera too and just smiled away for me!  This is one baby boy I wanted to take home and keep.  Enjoy the sneak peek… I know you’ll be in love too!

We’re so excited about the upcoming Holidays that we’ve decided to celebrate every week from now until Christmas by offering a special deal.  Each deal is available for ONE WEEK ONLY.  After one week, the deal, and the opportunity, expires!

This week’s deal (expires at 5pm on Friday December 23rd).

50% off of a 3 month or 6 month session!

This week’s deal is for those expecting mamas due in May or June of 2012.  Sadly we can’t take any newborn sessions with due dates in May or June 2012.  I’ll be taking care of my own new arrival as I’m due at the end of May!  With my due date approaching, we can’t take any time sensitive sessions (like newborns) in May and then I will be taking a break from shooting in June.  Of course we are already getting inquiries for newborn sessions during those months and we’re so sad to have to say no to those sessions :0(  So we’ve decided to offer a special just for those families expecting in May and June.  Book a 3 month or 6 month session with us instead and receive 50% off of the session fee!  This 50% discount may be applied to either a Studio Weekday session or a Little Star session!

3 month sessions are a perfect way to capture baby while they are still in the infant stage. What’s fun about 3 months is that they are still teeny tiny, but they now smile in response to others!  3 month portraits are simple and classic and focus on the little features you love.  It is a great age to capture all of their personality and different expressions!

6 month sessions are my absolute favorite.  Babies can usually sit up at this age and the variety of poses and props we can use is endless.  While 3 months can be somewhat limited in posing, 6 months is a great age for more creative portraits and of course capturing that big smile and adorable personality!

How do I take advantage of this deal??

Call the studio (401-864-1919) this week to schedule and submit your session fee for a 3 month or 6 month session (mom’s due date must be in either May or June 2012) and receive 50% off.  Please note we are here to answer your calls Monday through Friday 9-5pm.  Calls during non business hours will be returned in the order received.  Session fee must be submitted before the deal expiration date above.

Oh how I love 6-month-olds!  They are full of smiles and there are endless adorable poses they love playing in.  I last saw baby O at her newborn session when she was just a teeny little thing.  I couldn’t get over how big she has gotten since then.  We had a perfectly classic baby girl session together last week and O did an amazing job.  Those little dimples sure do give me baby fever!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was so excited to see baby C and S again for their 6 month old baby plan session.  I last saw them as sweet sleepy newborns.

I can’t believe 6 months has already passed and I can’t get over how big they’ve both gotten!  They were both full of 6 month old giggles and have the most beautiful big blue eyes.  We had such a fun session together.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I can’t believe another one of my baby planners is 6 months old already!  This little guy still looks just like his newborn photos, except for those amazing blue eyes that have come out.  He is a total combination of mom’s and dad’s looks.  We had a beautiful morning to photograph out at the park and the leaves are finally starting to change colors around here.  It certainly isn’t the autumn of years past, but it made for some beautiful pictures in the early morning light.  Z didn’t mind the chilly day one bit!  Enjoy your sneak peek.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family since big sister D was born.  I’ve  captured the joy of their growing family through so many milestones over the past few years and was so excited to see them on the schedule for little brother W’s 6 month session!  We were hoping to head outdoors and set this all up, but the weather didn’t cooperate so we decided to bring the outdoors in.  Mom had shared her pinterest boards with me that were full of jewel toned Christmas goodness and we came up with this set for the family.  If you aren’t yet addicted to pinterest, it’s about time you head over.  It’s perfect for finding inspiration… sort-of like a digital sketchbook!  Enjoy your sneak peek H family.  I can’t wait to see these in Christmas cards!!

My goodness, it doesn’t get much cuter than this!  These two adorable twin sisters came into the studio with mom and dad last week for some family portraits.  They weren’t sitting up just yet, which made us very creative in posing them together.  When all else fails, I always grab the basket.  Of course that turned out to be one of my favorites.  What is cuter than a baby in a basket?  How about two?!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
