It was snowing on the day that little C was born. So it was only fitting that we sprinkle a little snow into his set. I first met mom and dad about 3 years ago for their engagement session! I loved keeping up with them on Facebook, seeing photos from their beautiful wedding, and then hearing the great news that they were expecting. Of course I was thrilled to get the call that they wanted to do newborn portraits with us. Even more exciting is that baby C is one of my newest baby planners for 2013! We’re going to have so much fun watching this little guy grow up! Enjoy your sneak peek.

I adore when these two little ones come to visit us for photos! Big brother M is a complete sweetheart. Take the day of our session for example. He asked mom to stop and pick up donuts and delivered them down to us in our office. He’s just as kind to his little sister, as you can see below. Gorgeous little sis M always steals the show with her smile. Last year she was so busy during our session that I was always chasing after her. This year she LOVED the camera. Total ham! We had fun running around the studio and catching up with mom and dad… and we got some pretty perfect photos while we were at it! Enjoy your sneak peek. These are going to be some fabulous Christmas cards! ~ Heidi

Wow! Holiday madness is in full swing at the studio! As we started brainstorming our 2012 Holiday Studio card, I became sentimental. It has been SUCH a good year! Both personally, as Shaun and I moved into our new home and were blessed with our new baby girl Grace, and professionally as we had our best year in business yet. What I am most thankful for is our clients, who have become like family to us. All of you moms have become my girlfriends, all of these adorable babies have grown up before my eyes, and I’ve been honored to take pictures of it all along the way! When I got teary eyed at a recent cake smash, I realized just how much I love my clients.
We’ve had lots of new families sign up for our Baby Plan in 2013 and I’m already thrilled just thinking about being a part of their lives. And for each new family who joined ours this year, another family returned to us with their second or third babies. I was able to watch my former newborns become amazing big brothers and sisters or celebrate their first birthdays. I feel so grateful looking back on it all. So THANK YOU to our amazing clients who choose us time and again. Thank you for trusting me to capture the most special time in your lives. And thank you to all of these babies for making me burst with joy (and giving me my daily baby fix so I’m not eternally pregnant)!
Here’s our studio card from 2011! We can’t wait to thank you again with this year’s card!

Best wishes for a joyful Holiday season!
How handsome is this little guy?! Those lips and lashes completely melt me. Approaching his first birthday, baby W was already on the move and boy, was he fast! For every shot I got in focus, 10 were blurry! He crawled, climbed, scooted and cruised around the studio for a full hour. 100% boy! We started with some Holiday portraits and then finished the session with some classic baby sets. I can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Who would have known that this location was our Plan B?
We had another location all planned out, but as luck would have it, the whole team pulled up just in time to be told that it was closed for maintenance for the afternoon! Of course, we weren’t going to just cancel the shoot- Heidi’s family was styled, and we had our videographer, Joe Maggiolo, in tow, to capture the whole shoot on film.
So, we packed up the team and drove just down the road to a little field we had seen driving in. Plan B became Plan Awesome as we realized that the field was even better for Fall portraits. The color, the grass, the light- everything just came together for an awesome backdrop. I couldn’t love the results more! (Phew!)
Why did we have a videographer? We recently announced “A Birth Story”, our newborn sessions captured on film by Joe Maggiolo. We’re expanding our video portrait product to encompass all types of sessions- even outdoor family sessions! Your family is captured interacting on film throughout our photoshoot, and the footage edited as a professional movie set to music. We wanted to show just how stunning the result is, so we invited Joe along to capture Heidi’s family creating memories! We can’t wait to show you the video. In the meantime, there are a few behind-the-scenes shots sprinkled into the family shots below to give you an idea of how we work with Joe.
Ready for an epic Fall family post? Here we go!

This cutie came to us a few months ago for portraits in the studio, and here he is again at the farm! He’s definitely grown a lot since we last saw him- he’s sitting up now, and has the cutest little baby curls. He loved when I ran over and tickled him, so I got quite the workout at this session- sprinting back and forth to get him to laugh.
Mom had some great outfits picked out for him, too. I love this first shot in the sleigh with the snowglobe!

I had so much fun catching up with the L family during our Holiday portrait sessions last week. I’ve been photographing this gorgeous baby girl since she was in mom’s tummy, and if it’s possible, I love her more every time I see her! I’m always excited to see the L family on my schedule not just because they are dangerously photogenic, but because it gives me an excuse to hang out with mom and dad, who always have me laughing. S was dressed to the nines and looked perfect surrounded by the gorgeous fall foliage. I’m not sure how they will ever choose for their cards this year, when I can barely choose favorites for a preview. Can’t wait to show you the whole gallery, mom and dad! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Before the M family arrived I turned to Caroline, our studio assistant, and said, “These kids are THE BEST!” I love every shoot with them because they are so sweet. 4 year old A always takes such great care of his little sister, who just turned 1. They loved playing in our vintage sled and running around the fields surrounding the farm, but I’m pretty sure their favorite part was the Sweet Indulgence Gingerbread cookies they were able to share in our tent. Enjoy your sneak peek! ~ Heidi

Three sisters, all in Matilda Jane! Their outfits perfectly matched the colorful, rustic background of the farm setting we photographed at. D is 6, C is 3, and E 16 months old. We did a fair amount of chasing E- she was on the move and FAST, as you can see in the middle shots of her with D (who is wearing a Heidi Hope Signature Blossom Band)!
All three were sweethearts, and I love how the whole session came out. Fun, full of personality, and colorful!
I can’t wait to show you the entire gallery, S! ~ Mariah

The sweetest sisters ever came down from MA to have their holiday shoot with us at the farm. E was a little shy at first, but once she saw her big sister A posing for the camera in our tent, she jumped right in! The connection that they have is just awesome- they were snuggling and laughing with each other on their own.
What made them laugh like that for the second photo? All I had to do was ask them to look at each other, and they cracked up!
Sweet Indulgence made the gingerbread cookies in the last photo especially for our Holiday shoots. The girls loved them!
Thanks for making the drive down, B family! ~ Mariah
