The last time I visited with baby J she was sleeping soundly in our studio garden box.  Fast-forward 6 months and a happy, smiley baby J was back to play!  It just so happened that we had a gorgeous garden set up for our newborn clients the previous day, so I had to place J back amongst the flowers for a few portraits to match her newborn session.  We also had family portraits to capture as we began the session, letting J warm up in her parents arms.  I’m pretty sure it is impossible to do justice to how loving mom and dad were towards their gorgeous baby girl, but I hope that I at least captured it in part!  J already adores her books and her favorite story these days is The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  I love incorporating personal details into sessions in a simple, timeless way.  J loved flipping the pages of her book while I snapped away.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Everything about this was so fun for us- from designing the sets to hanging out with so many of our clients in one day! Anyone that booked a 2013 session with HHP was eligible for one of these free Valentine Mini sessions, and it was so awesome to be able to gift this to them. Oh my gosh, is this not one of the cutest babies you have ever seen?  I was totally in love with her from the first second she looked at me with those big brown eyes.  Little Star sessions are some of my favorite and especially when babies are at this age.  It feels like I’m just hanging out with mom and dad, playing dress up with their little one.  Sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m working!  M was so sweet.  She indulged us in plenty of adorable outfits and sets.  I’m wondering how I’ll ever choose favorites for this gallery!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

We love these Little Star sessions! Little J was the best model- she gave us the cutest smiles in every set and every outfit we put her in. How can you not smile yourself when looking at these? I hardly have a serious face in her entire gallery!

Such a happy girl! And a stylish one…her football outfit was custom-made for her. Can you even stand the little football leggings? Her Christmas dress and headband are also just too cute.

5 months and 19 months, and these boys were so easy to shoot! Big brother A was such a sweetheart to little brother F, giving him kisses and helping to hold him up for pictures. F was happiest on his tummy, so the shots of him below were right before he rolled over onto his belly- a trick he was pretty proud of. 

It was pretty hard to pick just a few photos for a preview. I can’t wait for mom to see the rest of their gallery!

It has been a long time since I have had the time and opportunity to travel on location to a client’s home for some lifestyle portraits.  When sweet baby T was born early and had a long stay in the hospital, we rescheduled the B family session out to the Holidays.  I think traveling to the B family’s home (and being so warmly welcomed by them <3 ) really helped me to capture them as a family and all of the love they have for their baby girl.  I am totally in love with this session!  Watching mom and dad cuddle her and make her smile melted me.  It reminded me of why I love what I do so much.  I left thinking “I wish I could do this for every family!”  In 2013 I will be traveling much more and hopefully doing more sessions like this one.  Thanks B family for being so much fun to spend the afternoon with.  T is so gorgeous, I already can’t wait for our next session!  Enjoy your sneak peek!  ~ Heidi

I loved my session with adorable baby H and his parents last week.  He was such a handsome little guy and he loved being in front of my camera.  His session reminded me of the magic and joy that families experience when they have a baby’s first Christmas to celebrate.  This age is so perfect for family photos as well because the variety of poses are endless.  I love watching babies interact with their parents.  The smile they give for mom and dad is like no other and it is so sweet to capture!  I keep telling everyone I know “Book a baby session between 6-9 months.  It is the BEST baby age!!”

If it wasn’t the busiest month of the year, I wouldn’t be able to tear myself away from this folder!  I’m totally in love with this little guy.  I’m always telling my friends that of all of the sessions they could do with their new babies, 6 months is by far the best!  It is a perfect age for family photos and as you can see below, nothing can make you gush more than a 6-month-old smile.  Baby C was so sweet during our session.  I could eat him up in that little hood and the adorable blue vest was dad’s when he was a baby.  I don’t know how I’ll ever pick favorites for this gallery.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

6-Month old Little J came to visit us in the studio, and he was so much fun to work with! He was the star of the show with three of his own sets, but we managed to get the whole family and his siblings, D and E, into a couple shots, too. J’s sister D is signed to a modeling agency in Boston, so she was a pro, and big brother E loved the camera, too.  No doubt J will be signed to an agency soon!

This cutie came to us a few months ago for portraits in the studio, and here he is again at the farm! He’s definitely grown a lot since we last saw him- he’s sitting up now, and has the cutest little baby curls. He loved when I ran over and tickled him, so I got quite the workout at this session- sprinting back and forth to get him to laugh.

Mom had some great outfits picked out for him, too. I love this first shot in the sleigh with the snowglobe!
