Look what Santa delivered to the beach!  :)   Little A is a true beach baby- even her nursery has a beach theme, and she loved hanging out by the water for her Christmas photos.

Mom had some great ideas for fun family shots, including reading the Polar Express as a family (I’m saving those shots for heir gallery!). This idea is great- it’s so meaningful, and would be a great idea to do every year as kids grow!

Thanks for hanging out at the beach with me, H family! ~ Mariah

We saw the P family in the studio just a few weeks ago, and it was great to see them again- at the beach! The kids loved playing with our props we brought for our holiday sessions, including a driftwood tree and gingerbread cookies (made for us by Sweet Indulgence!), but I think the beach itself may have been even more fun for them. The boys, J and B, headed straight for the water and rocks, and we got some great shots of them running in the sand. Little F was just happy to be with her family, and smiled the whole session for me.  :)

These images make me smile every time I look at them. :) Little C has SUCH a curious, bright, happy personality, and it shows in every single one! His little laugh is infectious, too- I don’t think I stopped smiling and laughing the whole session, either.

C’s mama and grandma came to the shoot, and you can tell he absolutely adores them both- in the shot of him and his mama, he’s beaming at grandma walking over. They helped by throwing leaves with C, which gave us the last series of the most adorable leaf throwing shots ever!

Thanks for hanging out with me at the park, C!

K and little H did a surprise photoshoot for H’s daddy, who’s deployed in Japan right now! We went to the park for some casual, fun shots with the foliage.

H was such a ham, and has such a fun personality! He made us laugh with his poses, smiled on cue, and danced and jumped for me. He was such a sweetheart with his mom, too- hugging, kissing, and running into her arms.  :)

These will be such a great gift, K! Thanks for spending the afternoon with us, and safe travels back from Hawaii!

The gorgeous weather continued into last Thursday for us with our Foliage shoots. The sparkly light through the trees makes such a fabulous backdrop for photographs!

I think the J family had fun during their shoot!  ;)   G was so good with her brother- holding his hand, kissing him, and even snuggling mom for a couple shots. J was on the move, so we kept him moving: flying, running, jumping, and throwing leaves!

Enjoy the preview, J family!

These two were a blast to work with! 9-month old twins A and J were the cutest little models in their plaid and knit sweaters. We got plenty of shots of the two of them by themselves, but I love these of them together.  :)

It was awesome to meet you guys! Enjoy your preview!

Oh, how I love the colors we’ve been able to work with at the park this past week. It takes a really dry Summer to get bright red leaves on the trees here in NE, and we’re so lucky that 2012 has been a dry year so far!

J had a blast collecting apples in our basket, playing in the leaves, and running around with me! His one-month old baby brother M made an appearance at the end of the shoot, and we kept him snuggled up in blankets while J loved on him. Too cute!

The K family was so fun to hang out with! C and M loved playing with our vintage wagon, and didn’t want to leave the park at the end of the session. C was a great big brother to M, and I love the shots we got of them together!

Our first foliage shoot of 2012! The park location didn’t disappoint with color. This family lives right around the corner from our foliage location, so it was even more meaningful to have their family photos taken there!

Little B and C were happy as can be to play in the leaves! I love the purple theme of their outfits, and how well it went with the Fall colors in the background.

Great to meet you, O family!

This shoot has turned out to be one of my favorites! Mom had the idea of doing a shoot based around little C’s suit that he wore recently at a wedding. He was bound to outgrow it quickly, so she wanted to do a “Pressy Messy” shoot with formalwear- and let him play in it to his heart’s content!

With dad’s matching suit and mom’s sequin dress, don’t they look like they belong in a catalog? :) We did a couple formal looks, then changed into a more casual outfit for some photojournalistic shots. I love the shot of C and his dad with their baseball gear!

Can’t wait to show you the rest, P family!
