The opportunity to meet couples like D and G make me really thankful to be a photographer. Their connection, sense of humor, and down-to-earth personalities are one-in-a-million. I don’t have to tell you that they’re best friends and will be great parents; you can see it in the photos below!

I first met this family back when mom was expecting big-sister-to-be A.  I was so honored that they traveled to our studio all the way from London!  I had the pleasure of capturing A’s first year and was so happy to hear that baby #2 was on the way after they moved back to the states.  Not only are they a super gorgeous family who makes my job easy, but they’re also just plain fun to hang around with!  I always love our sessions.  We headed to the park for part of their first maternity session at HHP, so we decided to head to the Bay last week for a different feel.  We had to brave the wind, but I’m so glad we did.  I think some of these backgrounds look like a painting!  I think I’m also partial to this session because adorable A was involved.  A toddler brings so much joy and energy to a maternity session.  What fun memories!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I’m a pretty good secret-keeper… when I have to be!  From new pregnancies, to gender reveals, to proposals, we often get to be “in” on some of life’s best surprises!  I was so excited to be let in on the secret of J’s pregnancy back in the fall.  I’ve been photographing their family of 4 for a few years now, and I know just how much this baby will be adored (and already is!).  Big brother and sister are all ready to welcome new baby and I could feel the excitement they had throughout our session.  They are some of my 2013 baby-planners, so get ready to see this baby celebrated into 2014!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mama-to-be C was up for anything, and she got so much variety at her shoot! This time last week, we were just seeing the start of sunny, warm days, so I wanted to keep the whole shoot light and springy. C and S rocked it. We did most of the shoot indoors, then headed down to the bay to let their Boston Terrier, O get in some shots! Love her pink flower and leash.

We can’t wait to see them back in the studio in a couple weeks to meet their baby girl!

This maternity session was almost 4 years in the making.  Mom and dad first found Heidi Hope Photography when they moved to Connecticut and were expecting their first daughter.  They booked a maternity session with me, but baby A came very early and our maternity session never happened.  We had an amazing newborn session and I’ve enjoyed taking their family portraits ever since.  When the W family found out that baby number 2 was on the way, mom called us right away to make that maternity session happen this time around.  We scheduled it much earlier than usual just in case “newt” (as they affectionately call baby number 2) decided to make an early appearance like his/her big sis!  It was a good thing we did because mom was put on modified bed rest a few weeks ago.  When we spoke on the phone she said “I’m taking it easy… the only thing I’m going out for is our session!  I just have to make it until then!”  And she did.  In fact, not even Blizzard Nemo could stop us.  Nemo came blowing in on the day of our session, but we kept and eye on the weather and moved our shoot up to early morning so we could squeeze it in before the storm started.  By the end of our time together, snow started lightly falling outside the studio windows.  We couldn’t shoot on the day of a historic blizzard without heading out into the snow for a photo or two.  This family was up for anything!  I had a hard time choosing favorites for this sneak preview because I love them all.  Enjoy your extra large sneak peek.  I hope it was worth the 4 year wait!  ~ Heidi

This session was serene, beautiful and light-filled. From her impeccable hair and makeup to her awesome wardrobe, M modeled the beauty of pregnancy perfectly. I got to use some of the new props Heidi recently bought (sequined pillows!), and got some great couples’ poses with M and her husband, A.

There’s no doubt that baby A will be gorgeous and SO loved when he arrives. We can’t wait to meet him for his newborn shoot!

This session was so much fun! M and D wanted to document their pregnancy with artistic, abstract shots that reflected the Heidi Hope style. It was fun for me to try out some different compositions and creative ways of showing M’s beautiful belly and the obvious love D has for her.

They’re so excited for their baby girl to arrive, and we are, too! We can’t wait to see you back in the studio with little M.

Talk about a glowing mama! The HHP studio has known the W family since before the birth of C, who has been a fabulous model for every shoot he’s had with us. He was up for every shot we tried- including a new one with the whole family kissing. I love how it came out!

We headed outside to the local park for some foliage photos at the end. Love that we’re able to shoot with Fall wardrobe and leaves now!

M’s first shoot with us was when she was pregnant with her first son, D. Heidi did her maternity shoot back then, and the newborn shoot when he arrived! Now, D is going to be a big brother, and the whole family is so excited to see if he’ll have a little brother or sister!

It’s always fun working with families that have been with Heidi Hope for years, because I can see how their families have grown through their pictures. For this shoot, I looked back through their other galleries, and we recreated some shots from the first maternity session. What a great way to connect both shoots and make new memories, too!

V family, we can’t wait to meet the new addition!
