Talk about a glowing mama! The HHP studio has known the W family since before the birth of C, who has been a fabulous model for every shoot he’s had with us. He was up for every shot we tried- including a new one with the whole family kissing. I love how it came out!

We headed outside to the local park for some foliage photos at the end. Love that we’re able to shoot with Fall wardrobe and leaves now!

J was just signed to The Cameo Agency, a modeling and talent agency that I’ve worked for since the beginning of my photography career! As soon as you’re signed to Cameo, they need a good portfolio of images to represent you with. Those images are used to get auditions for commercials, catalogs, print ads, videos, and movies!

We wanted to show how versatile J’s look can be, so we photographed her in 5 different outfits and hairstyles. I always love playing stylist during these shoots! She pulled off figure skater, floutist, traditional, casual, and serious looks for the camera.

It was a full house in the studio last week with 4-year old J, 2 year-old B, and 7-month-old F! These siblings were so good for us. We started out in the studio with some super-cute group shots, and went to the park at the end of the session to take advantage of the great weather!

J and B were such great big brothers to F. You can see in the last shot that they didn’t hesitate to give her kisses on her cheeks, and she clearly loved it. She smiled away for the whole session, and we managed to do three quick ‘baby’ sets for her while the boys were taking a break.

We’re finally starting the process of looking into new studio space and my dream is to have a little spot outdoors that I can photograph newborns in.  We’re going to be adding the option of an outdoor portion to our newborn sessions when it is warm enough, so when our good friends were in last week for a newborn session, I knew they wouldn’t mind indulging me for a few outdoor photos at the end of our session.  Handsome baby O was quite cooperative too.  He rocked every shot we did in the studio and then kept on sleeping right through our second location.  Look out mom and dad, this little guy is dangerously adorable.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Fall Foliage Park Session Special!

Today’s crisp weather and clear September sky have us really in the mood for Fall! What better way to celebrate the season than to down pumpkin spice lattés announce a Fall Foliage Special? Our schedule is filling up fast, and we want to make sure we set aside time to shoot outdoors when the leaves are at their peak. They’re predicted to be especially stunning this year with all this dry weather!

Our Fall Foliage sessions will take place at a local park during Rhode Island’s peak foliage time. Foliage sessions will be focused on photojournalistic ‘lifestyle’ portraits: portraits of your family interacting, candids, and kids playing in the leaves. If you’re looking for a holiday-themed shoot with stylized sets and formal poses, consider booking one of our Holiday Portrait Sessions (at the beach or farm!)

Dates: “Foliage Peak Week”-  Oct. 15th-19th, rain dates Oct. 22nd-26th

Location: Our favorite local park!

Session Fee: $200, with no minimum print purchase

Outdoor Family Session Special Includes:

• Up to 45 minutes of shooting time for 1-5 immediate family members
• Email welcome letter, current price list, and our what to wear guide!
• Blog sneak preview with a selection of 3-4 images, 7-10 days after your session
• Online gallery of 20-30 fully retouched images
• In-studio ordering appointment
• No minimum investment on prints or products (normally $500)

A session fee of $200 is due upon booking your session. The fee covers photographer’s time and talent along with the services listed above.  All other items may be purchased a la carte.  There is no additional purchase necessary. Session fee is non-refundable but may be used as credit towards another sitting fee.

The H family was so much fun to hang out with! They loved all the props I brought to the bay, and were up for anything…even jumping together. The littles were really into the shoot, too- suggesting poses and things the family could do in front of the camera. “How about we all sit on that rock?” and “Let’s hug each other!” I love subjects that suggest poses for me!

Mom wanted candids of the kids playing together, and I love how they came out. I can tell these two are great friends and siblings to each other already!

I’ve had so much fun capturing K as he’s grown from a smiley baby into a curious toddler.  At our most recent session, he loved exploring the beach, looking for airplanes, and trying out all of the toys I brought along.  Much more fond of checking out our surroundings than sitting and posing, all of my favorite images from our time together are of K just being himself- even if it meant jumping right into the water to fly his airplane!  We did manage to grab him long enough for some adorable family portraits as well, but we’re saving those for Christmas cards!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

This session was the last one of the night, starting at 7pm. We really caught that sunset glow, and I love how it lights little C and the water. Mom wasn’t sure how C would react to the shoot, as he doesn’t like sand on the beach, but he seemed right at home by the end of the session. He LOVED our jar of shells, and it helped that he had his furry friend, F to collect shells with! The last shot is him waving ‘bye’ to the beach at the end.

What an adorable family! I love how this whole session came out. 3.5 year old B and 7-month old M were so good with each other, and I can’t believe how many sibling shots we got where they’re both looking at the camera! Quite impressive. We played with boats, the sand, and ended the session with a dip in the water (not me!).

This little beauty gave us a workout on the beach! After a few serious, reserved shots, she discovered how fun it is to collect rocks in the sand. She ran back and forth with me and mom, and we ran right with her! We went though a few super cute outfits, but I think my favorite is her ruffled Strawberry romper. It’ll be so cute on her Christmas cards!
