Archive for '6 month old portraits'

I always love when I see one of my baby planners on the schedule and last week I had the pleasure of photographing 2!  Both turning 6 months old, these boys were so cute and so much fun to capture on camera.  I’ve been photographing D’s family since his big brother was born.  I was so excited when they signed up for our baby plan because that meant I would continue watching the boys grow this year!  I loved catching up with mom and seeing how big D has gotten.  Mom even brought along D’s Halloween costume and we got some adorable shots.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I can’t get over how many of our baby planners have turned 6 months old recently!  I love baby plan sessions because it is so exciting for me to see how much a baby has grown.  I like to figure out if they’re starting to look more like mom or dad and watch their little personalities start to develop and express themselves.  Baby’s first year is such a fun time to be a part of a family’s life.  So baby B and family visited the studio for their 6 month baby plan session.  We decided to head to the park for a little variety as the 1st birthday session will probably still be too cold to venture outdoors.  Unfortunately, fall foliage hasn’t really arrived in Southern New England.  After hurricane Irene, most are forecasting a pretty dull foliage season.  I’m still hoping that we see SOME color by the end of October!  Luckily baby B was so cute that it didn’t matter much what the great outdoors looked like.  He stole the show!  We captured some great smiles and everyone playing as a family.  I think we have some perfect Christmas card nominees!  Can’t wait to show you the rest!  Enjoy your sneak peek.

If I had a spoon, I could have eaten him up!  I mean seriously, check out those cheeks.  Baby W was so adorable and easy going.  We started our session with some holiday portraits of him and family and then got some classic 6 month portraits to wrap up.  I’ll be catching up on previews this afternoon, so keep an eye on the blog!  Enjoy your sneak peek.

Remember these two cuties from earlier this year?

Look how they’ve grown!  One of my favorite families was already back in at the studio last week for J’s 6 month portraits!  We decided to head outdoors for something a little different and to capture some family portraits for holiday cards.  I love all of the soft rich colors in these.  J might be one of the easiest going babies around.  He just sat and watched all of the commotion with out a peep.  Big sister A was a ham for me as usual.  I’ve been photographing her since she was in mom’s tummy, so it’s safe to say we’re buddies now!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I love this time of year!  Believe it or not, we are already digging up all of our holiday props and getting started on holiday cards!  Baby A was one of the first little tots to try out some of our holiday sets this year.  She couldn’t quite sit up yet, so we had lots of tummy time, but her best expressions where when she was looking up at me.  Those eyes are amazing.  She almost looks unreal she is so beautiful!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I look at parents who have 3 or more young children in awe!  We had our niece and nephew (2.5 and 4) sleep over with my 3 year old daughter last weekend and I was exhausted after 24 hours.  When I saw the ages of these three little ones on the schedule last week, I said a little prayer.  “Please let me get one good shot of them together!”  When they showed up at the studio, I was so excited to get started.  They were so adorable, I could have photographed them all day.  We ended up with so many beautiful portraits, it will be hard to narrow down.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Do I have the most adorable clients or what?!  I knew the second H showed up to our studio and gave me a giant smile through those big blue eyes that we were in for some fun.  H was so easy going that we were able to try out lots of fun sets.  Usually the larger flower bands aren’t my favorite to use, but I think in sets like these they look so stinkin cute and the two mom picked were some of my favorite!  No matter what we put H in, those big blue eyes always stole the show anyways.  I can’t wait to show mom and dad the rest of these!

Baby R is just breathtaking!  Those eyes can slice right through you.  At only days old, R stared right into my camera with those eyes.  So alert.  So beautiful!

My favorite part of this job is watching babies grow.  I love when parents visit us again for 6 month and first birthday sessions!  R’s 6 month session was a blast.  She was full of smiles and personality!  6 months is also a great baby age to capture family portraits.  Often parents of newborns are so tired, the last thing they feel like doing is jumping in front of the camera.  I just love what we captured during this session.  Can’t wait to show you them all!

Guess what my favorite age to photograph is? If you’ve visited my blog before, you have probably heard it many times. 6 months is just the best. Smiley, happy, chubby, adorable baby goodness. If there were only one other time you could have your baby photographed after their newborn session, I would recommend 6 months old hands down. When looking at the super-cute portraits of baby L below you’ll see why. It is the perfect age to capture all of their baby features before they start quickly growing into a toddler. During our session together baby L was sometimes quite serious and other times full of smiles, so we were able to get many wonderful expressions. He was so intrigued by my camera and entertained by mom and dad! I had so much fun photographing this little one and his parents. Enjoy your sneak peek!
