I have loved watching baby K grow over the past year. He is always so easy going and has the best sense of humor. I was excited to plan his cake smash with an airplane theme and when I passed by the little cream airplane while shopping one day, I knew it would be perfect for his session. It’s so hard to find good-looking baby toys, so I never pass one up when I see it. K had fun with all of the toys at the studio and I think this was his best session yet! Mom and dad always order an album, so I photographed this session with an album in mind, capturing lots of little details, straight down to K’s little frosting footprints! Great seeing you again mom and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Another one of my sweet newborns from 2010 is turning one year old!

I had the pleasure of catching up with sweet baby A during our minis this summer, so was thrilled to hear she would be back again for a cake smash. A was on the move this time and gave us some serious exercise for each shot. Thank goodness for my trusty blocks. They were a godsend in keeping A entertained in front of my camera! It was so fun capturing another one of A’s milestones. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby C might win the award for our greatest traveler of 2011! We’ve had clients visit our little studio from all around New England and the East Coast, but apart from baby A from London earlier this year, baby C is one of our farthest little travelers to date. And what a good traveler she was! We had a fabulous session together. C was curious and on the move. She loved exploring all of our toys and flashed me so many great big smiles it will surely be hard to choose favorites. Of course my favorite portraits are always those where little ones seem to be staring right through the lens. Those eyes just melt me. Mom wanted an enchanted forest theme for the cake smash so we had fun coming up with something whimsical that still kept with our light, fresh aesthetic. I love the way it all came together, and C really loved devouring her cake! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was so excited to see baby D again and celebrate his first birthday! I last saw him at his newborn session and I still can’t get over how fast he’s grown up.

Seems like just yesterday! He is now such a big boy. I just love those curls and big blue eyes. We had so much fun watching him enjoy his birthday cake last week! Enjoy your sneak peek, and happy birthday D.

Last week we celebrated baby R’s first birthday with a cake smash that was all “girl”. Today is her actual birthday, so it’s a perfect day for this post! R has been photogenic since she was born. Those long lashes and amazing eyes completely steal the show, just as they did in her newborn session. I loved seeing her and her family again to celebrate this milestone, although I must admit, I’m feeling all sentimental and a little sad now that she’s already turning one! So since I’m feeling sentimental, I’ll go ahead and take you through our past year.

R loved her cake and was literally elbow deep in it at some points! Thanks for such a fun day. Enjoy your sneak peek and Happy Birthday!

Baby R completely stole my heart last week. He had the easiest personality and those big brown eyes made me melt. I could have played all day! We finished his session with an “all-boy” cake smash incorporating the family’s favorite sports. My husband actually wants to hang that Patriots decoration I made in our home! Enjoy your sneak peek!

We had so much fun celebrating baby A’s first birthday last week. His cake smash was done in some of my favorite colors. I just love those soft blues and browns. We added a few monkeys hanging out in the back and Sweet Indulgence made us the most adorable monkey cake complete with bananas! A loved having his picture taken. He was curious and on the move but no matter where he went, he would always flash me a big smile. So handsome! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Someone get this kid a modeling gig! Seriously! He has been so photogenic since the day he was born. He’s full of personality and always has fun in front of the camera. I never want our sessions to end. We had so much fun during his session last week. Being on Halloween, we thought a Halloween cake smash would be perfect and baby B rocked it. Enjoy your sneak peek!

It was so much fun to visit with this family again to celebrate baby L’s first birthday. I got to meet them all back when L was six months old and I remember him being absolutely adorable and full of smiles. Not much has changed except that L has grown so big… and possibly even more adorable and smiley. I was so excited to talk with mom during our pre-session consultation and go over our options for the cake smash. November is a month full of cake smashes for our studio and I’m enjoying making each one different. When mom said she loved the book “On the Night You Were Born”, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. First, I love the author and all of her books. Second, the illustrations are a set designer’s dream. Third, I knew I would have the opportunity to pick up my paint brush and make something extra special for L! I love the way it all came together and the Sweet Indulgence cake was the perfect finishing touch. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I’ve loved getting to know baby A and his family over the past year. I’m always sad to see my baby planners graduate… and secretly hoping that mom and dad will have another one for me to play with! It was fun watching A celebrate his first birthday with a fall themed cake smash. We loved coming up with a “barnyard” autumn set and this might be the cutest Sweet Indulgence cake we’ve had, complete with farm animals on it! Enjoy your sneak peek!
