I always love catching up with mom when this family comes in to visit from Boston for baby portraits. I’ve been taking pictures of her gorgeous kiddos for almost 4 years now, I think. 7 month old twins V and M were so incredibly sweet. They were at such a playful and smiley age. Mom told me she had a little flight suit for M, so I thought a little make-believe plane would be an adorable set for the two to play in. I think you’ll agree, they are too cute for words! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Meet two of our newest baby-planners! Mom is a photographer in Massachusetts and we hit it off instantly at her pre-session consultation a few weeks back. I could have chatted with her all day. In true photographer fashion, she shopped for some amazing hats for us to play with during our session. C and C were born ready for photos. They totally rocked their newborn portraits! We even pulled off a portrait with both of them just hanging out in our sling. Thanks for the great day V family. I’m already excited for our next play date! ~ Heidi
It seems like just yesterday that these adorable twin boys visited the studio for their newborn portraits. 2012 seemed to fly by and before I knew it, I was sitting with mom, planning their first birthday session. The number one thing mom wanted (as any mother of twin boys on-the-move can likely relate to), was a photo of the whole family looking at the camera. I could see why this shot was so illusive. I had about 1/60th of a second to nail a shot before these two little athletes were off in opposite directions! We started our session capturing plenty of fun family portraits, letting G and R run around the shooting room, and trying our best to capture them as they went! Then it was time for the first birthday celebration. We went for “classic baby boy” with our set, incorporating the colors from the hats the boys wore at their first birthday party. When mom mentioned they loved balloons at the pre-session consultation, I knew just what to do. G and R had fun digging into their cakes from Sweet Indulgence in their little balloon forest. I had so much fun with these 4 sweet kids and their mom, aunt and grandmother the week before Christmas! I’m not going to lie, I was nervous about how a session with 2 month old twins and 2 older siblings would go. I was so pleasantly surprised by how amazing big brother and sister were with their new babies. They were such good listeners and did a wonderful job holding the babies and posing for me. I was so impressed with them. I think half of this gallery will be the four kids all together because I have so many favorites! After the family portraits, we took some of just big brother and sister on their own, and then we captured a few sweet newborn sets. It was so much fun, the time flew by! Thanks for such a great session. Enjoy your sneak peek!
Happy Birthday D and M! I had so much fun celebrating with these two last week. Mom had the most adorable outfits for their traditional portraits at the start of the session. Kind of made me wish I had a little boy to dress this holiday season! D and M were full of smiles, just like at their 6 month session. We created a fun wintery set for holiday cards (with our new studio mascot Snowy the Snowman), and then let the boys dig into their cakes. I love photographing twin cake smashes because it cracks me up to watch their unique reactions to the cake, and to each other. That second cake smash photo is my favorite… priceless! Enjoy your sneak peek!
These two were a blast to work with! 9-month old twins A and J were the cutest little models in their plaid and knit sweaters. We got plenty of shots of the two of them by themselves, but I love these of them together.
It was awesome to meet you guys! Enjoy your preview!
I was so thrilled to hear the good news that twins M and V were born! Mom has been a client of ours for about 3 years now with big sister I. When she called us last winter to tell us she was expecting twins, I was so excited. Mom had a feeling she was having one boy and one girl so did some fabulous prop shopping ahead of time. She was right! Little man M and his sweet sister V were so fun to meet. They were alert little ones, not wanting to miss a moment of our shoot. Nothing a little swaddle couldn’t handle, we finally got them off to sleep for some adorable portraits together. Even big sister I jumped in a few portraits in the beginning and she did such a good job holding both babies! Enjoy your sneak peek!
These guys were just the sweetest, most laid-back family. I felt like I was just hanging out with them while shooting- not conducting a photoshoot! As you would expect with 2-year-old twins, most of their session was spent moving- chasing J and L, getting them to run into mom and dad’s arms, spinning, jumping, running, and playing. I bet they had a good nap that afternoon!
The colors that mom chose were beautiful, and went so well with the greens and blues of our bayside location. When I chatted with her before the session, she said that she wanted candids and natural shots of J and L. I love how everything came out- the candid, photojournalistic style definitely brought out everyone’s personalities, and showed the sweet connection between the whole family.
L family, it was great to hang out with you. Enjoy your preview!
I was so excited to finally photograph the B family for our session together last week. I’ve been waiting so long to meet these boys! Mom and dad originally planned on coming in for a newborn session, but life often has different plans with newborns (especially twins!), and we decided to move the session to 6 months. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to capture their sweet personality and big smiles! Mom and dad were so easy going and we had fun together taking family portraits and trying to get the boys smiling. Enjoy your sneak peek!
I’m not sure there is anything much cuter than newborn twins. All the beauty, the perfection in every detail, the miracle of each breath…. doubled! It’s heaven to do a newborn twin shoot and these two girls had an amazing one. They were so perfectly sweet and loved being curled up together. I can’t wait to show mom and dad their full gallery. Enjoy your sneak peek!
