We’re finally starting the process of looking into new studio space and my dream is to have a little spot outdoors that I can photograph newborns in.  We’re going to be adding the option of an outdoor portion to our newborn sessions when it is warm enough, so when our good friends were in last week for a newborn session, I knew they wouldn’t mind indulging me for a few outdoor photos at the end of our session.  Handsome baby O was quite cooperative too.  He rocked every shot we did in the studio and then kept on sleeping right through our second location.  Look out mom and dad, this little guy is dangerously adorable.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Little W was one of a wave of newborn boys we’ve had at the studio lately.  September surely is the month of boys in 2012.  We started our session with all of the classics and then had some fun with mom doing a few composites, like the golf bag shot below.  Dad, a golf pro, hadn’t gotten to the studio yet when we created the shot so I was so excited to surprise him with how it turned out!  I love how tiny W looks on that golf bag.  Of course family portraits are always some of my favorites at a newborn session because I know that mom and dad will love looking back on them as their tiny little bundle of joy grows.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

It’s been just under two years since I first met this gorgeous family for S’s newborn session.  Last week she was back as a proud big sister showing off her new baby brother MJ.  He was nice and sleepy for us (it seems like the second one always is).  You never know how a young older sibling will react to a new addition in the family, but S was so loving and gentle with MJ.  She showered him with kisses and smiled away for me.  I’m so excited to show mom and dad the full session and all of the sweet moments we captured.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

This is my THIRD newborn session for this gorgeous family in the past 3 years!  Mom and dad now have quite the crew and still somehow manage to show up completely put together and laid back.  Big brothers D (3) and D (1) were amazing with their little sister.  It was fun to finally break out the girl colors and props for princess E who slept so sweetly through our session.  Some of my favorite photos are of everyone interacting together.  It’s so clear to see how E has completed this family when capturing everyone’s love for her.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was so thrilled to hear the good news that twins M and V were born!  Mom has been a client of ours for about 3 years now with big sister I.  When she called us last winter to tell us she was expecting twins, I was so excited.  Mom had a feeling she was having one boy and one girl so did some fabulous prop shopping ahead of time.  She was right!  Little man M and his sweet sister V were so fun to meet.  They were alert little ones, not wanting to miss a moment of our shoot.  Nothing a little swaddle couldn’t handle, we finally got them off to sleep for some adorable portraits together.  Even big sister I jumped in a few portraits in the beginning and she did such a good job holding both babies!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

The studio has been full of adorable newborn boys lately.  L was a heart breaker already.  He was super sleepy and loved to cuddle.  Mom and dad were totally laid back and up for anything.  We chose lots of greys and neutrals for our session which I’ve really be loving lately.  I’ve gotten dozens of new blankets and hats in the past few weeks, all ready to go for fall.  This little man curled right up into each set looking perfectly blissful.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I am in baby boy heaven lately!  The studio has been full of newborn boys lately and I’ve been having so much fun with them.  Baby L didn’t want to miss a moment of the action, so he was mostly awake for almost all of our session.  I would finally get him to drift off, capture a few quick frames, and he would be up again looking for a cuddle!  Luckily, he always dozed off just enough for me to pull off the shot.  Whether awake or asleep, L was a happy little guy, already quite curious about the world.  I captured so many smiles, it will be hard to choose favorites.  I just adore the family portraits we created and they certainly made my job easy looking so perfect!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I had two handsome little newborn boys in last week and both sets of parents loved all things simple and sweet.  We focused our sessions around the things I know parents will cherish the most as their babies grow; tiny little details, warm expressions, soft sleepy poses, and sweet family cuddles.  Baby H was perfection.  He loved curling up on the bean bag and snuggling in mom and dad’s arms.  What a gorgeous family!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby B reminded me of my daughter Grace as a newborn because they both had the most adorable little forehead scowl!  Add to that some chubby cheeks and pouty lips and you have a recipe for some serious cuteness.  Couldn’t you just squish her?!  B rocked her session from the bean bag to the hammock.  Lots of sweet photos from this session.  It was hard picking favorites.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

This adorable baby boy visited the studio last week for his newborn portraits and he was the perfect little customer.  He was nice and sleepy and loved cuddling up into sweet poses.  Mom and dad were super easy-going and fun to hang out with during our session.  We captured everything from classic black and whites with mom and dad, to a sweet nautical shot to match his nursery.  The family’s last name means turtle so we had to take one adorable “turtle” shot too… but I’m saving that one as a surprise for their gallery viewing!  Enjoy your sneak peek.  Can’t wait to share the rest!
