How adorable is this little man? After a nice long feeding he was super sleepy for me! I love all of the browns and fall colors we incorporated into his shoot. And I suppose it’s not too early to break out the snow for our sets seeing as we’ve already been hit with a snow storm around here! One of my favorite images is the last one below, L in his big brother’s hands. You know that one will come out time and again over the years. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Our October baby boom is in full swing! Baby S was our 6th newborn to visit the studio since October began and he was so good to me. His big brother S, just under 2 years old, did an amazing job as well. We captured some beautiful pictures of the family together and then baby S settled down to sleep for his own portrait debut. What adorable boys you have mom and dad! Enjoy your sneak peek!

These two girls totally melt me. Newborn A and her big sister C visited the studio last week for A’s photography debut and they did such a good job. Shaun and I had some laughs with mom and dad trading stories of our 3 year old daughters. 3-year-olds certainly take patience, but I seem to have a soft spot for them now that I have a 3 year old of my own! Big sister C took a little encouragement err bribing, but once she forgot about the camera, you could see how much she LOVES her new baby sister. The images I have of her holding baby A, like the one below, are some of my favorite. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Are these kids adorable, or what?! My brother and his family visited the studio last week to welcome the newest addition to their family, baby S. 4 year old big brother and 3 year old big sister joined us to play at the end of our session. They were so good listening to Auntie Heidi that I had to send them off with some treats! I love all of the portraits of the three of them together. Mom and dad took all of our pre-session advice and baby S slept like a dream through the whole session. I could have cuddled him all day! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I had such a fun session last week with this family. First, they had a totally gorgeous baby girl for me to cuddle. Then, mom and dad both knew a little something about photography, which I always love to chat about. To top it off, big brother CJ was awesome with his new baby sister. He did an amazing job during the sibling shots and I could tell that he is a super helper at home too. Of course A was the star of the show and every detail was perfection! Enjoy your preview!

I loved this family! You never know how a newborn session will go when there’s a toddler involved, but 2 year old O was such a good big brother! He was sweet and gentle and a great listener. Oh, and completely adorable! I just adore the sibling shots of them lying on the floor together at the bottom of the preview. Those would make me smile every day if I had them hanging on my wall! We started with some beautiful and relaxed family portraits and then N got to be the star of the show. Talk about two gorgeous kiddos! Enjoy your sneak peek!

It was only a year ago that the B family was visiting the studio with their new baby boy. When I saw them on the schedule last week (one year and 8 days later), I thought I was looking at 2010! I was so excited to learn that they were, in fact, welcoming baby number two, a sweet little girl. M was very opposite her big brother during our session. She started off wide awake, looking right into the camera, a little social butterfly. Once she did sleep she was a great little poser. I can’t get over those perfect lips and lashes. TDF! Big brother has a canvas from his newborn session of the stick shot, so we wanted to create something for M that could be displayed with it. We didn’t want the same exact set up, and with a bird theme in the nursery, we thought a nest shot would be perfect. I’ve only used this basket once, but I absolutely love the way it looks. M rocked it :0) Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet baby S and her big brother we so much fun to capture last week. S smiled through our whole shoot and big brother J did an awesome job! I’m always so impressed when a toddler is so good with their new younger sibling! In between all of the classic shots, I also like to capture some of the perfect little details. At every newborn session I feel like I’m documenting a little miracle. I suppose I am. I could stare at those wondrous little details every day. Enjoy your sneak peek!

It is such a joy for me to watch families grow. Lately we’ve been having more and more clients coming in to the studio with baby number 2! Often I don’t see an older sibling for years, so it is amazing to see how they’ve grown, and meeting their new sibling often brings back memories of their own newborn session. I remember photographing baby T as a newborn like it was yesterday. Now approaching two years old, T was an amazing big brother. He was so sweet and proud. I had as much fun playing with him between our sets as I did photographing his new baby sister. Gorgeous newborn L was perfect through out our session. She sure did like to eat, but after each feeding she slept, blissfully unaware of the commotion around her. Mom mentioned her love of hydrangeas, so I ran to my mothers on my lunch break and picked some out of the yard for the bottom set which turned out to be some of my favorite images from the shoot. Can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad!

I could just stare at these two all morning. Twin brother and sister, W and L, visited the studio last week for their newborn portraits. We had a very hot day to shoot and the two of them just basked in all the heat. They were so much fun to pose together and I loved capturing the bond they have even at such a young age. I always imagine them curled up in these adorable poses in the womb. Some of them even look like they could be ultrasound photos! Enjoy your preview mom and dad!
