Archive for '9 month old portraits'

Miss photogenic.  I’m pretty sure baby M can’t take a bad picture!  She is so expressive, full of smiles, and completely gorgeous.  Those lashes are to-die-for and her big grin has had me smiling all day as I went through these.  M was one of our first “Little Star” clients.  If you haven’t heard of our little star sessions, they are a new option we’re offering for portraits of just one little star at a time.  It’s great for parents who aren’t interested in family or sibling portraits and just want to focus on their little cutie!  M was certainly a perfect little star for us to have a ball with.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

This sweet little 9 month old was such a joy to photograph.  She was already on the move, so we worked hard to catch those smiles, but as you can see, they were well worth the effort!  I love her gorgeous eyes and long lashes in all of these portraits.  Believe it or not, it is already time to start thinking about holiday portraits around here.  Our designer Meg is busy coming up with new one-of-a-kind holiday card designs for the 2011 holiday season and we are already creating wonderful portraits in the studio to fill them!  I think the last 2 images in this preview have Christmas card written all over them.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

The weather has finally turned for us this week and I am so thrilled to be shooting outdoors. There is something magical about the way the light filters through the trees at the park. While I still covet the 85mm 1.4G, my old 85 isn’t doing a shabby job capturing that sparkle!  Sunrise and sunset are always the best time of day to take outdoor portraits, but often babies are not happy campers around those times of day. I’d much rather have a happy baby with good light than a fussy baby with a glorious background. After all, it is those little beautiful little faces we’re all in love with! So, we headed out this week to seek out some patches of shade and catch some smiles in the warm sunny weather. Baby H was the first that I was able to enjoy the sunshine with. I had a great morning with this family, and can’t wait to show them the rest. I wish you could all see the dog shot even larger.  That one looks amazing blown up on my 27″ screen.  Canvas material for sure!

Stay tuned for lots of previews on their way today!

Inspired by Heidi’s well deserved tropical vacation, we’ve put together a Spring what-to-wear guide for girls that coordinate nicely with some of the new props here at the studio.  For this what-to-wear we used pieces from the adorable crewcuts collection by  j.Crew.  Check out our other what-to-wear guides here and here.

Hi folks, Christina here.  Just thought I would share my fashion picks for the spring.  Here in Rhode Island we are getting hit with two storm systems back to back!  We love the snow but it’s a bit overwhelming at this point!  We’re trying to think warm thoughts at the studio which means we already have spring sessions on our mind.  We’ve already got a handful of ideas for spring sets and couldn’t help but put together some inspiration for our clients who already have a spring session booked.  This is just a start with outfits from Old Navy.  More to come soon!

Baby K was such a joy to photograph.  He did nothing but smile!  I thought he looked a lot like dad, but he certainly has mom’s gorgeous eyes!  We got all of the classic baby portraits and some beautiful family portraits as well.  Enjoy your preview!

With our school vacation mini sessions fast approaching, we thought it would be a perfect time to share some fashion inspiration.  Our designer Christina picked out these adorable outfits from one of our favorite stores: Gap.  These outfits would be perfect for our mini sessions as they are cozy and classic in soft muted colors.  Our studio sets for the day will be mostly neutrals and creams with touches of turquoise in some of our furnishings.  Just wait until you see the fun we are going to have!

Baby M was such a joy to photograph this week.  She was very inquisitive and often stared right into the camera with those serious brown eyes.  While we were all singing and clapping, I couldn’t help getting the impression that M knew she was much smarter than all three of us!  haha  But when she did give us a smile, the whole room lit up!  She was so easy-going and happy.  It certainly doesn’t hurt when the entire family is gorgeous too!  We had fun playing in the studio and then headed outdoors for some family shots.  Enjoy your preview B family!

I had the pleasure of meeting baby E eight months ago and she was a sleepy sweetheart.  Our second play date was last week and E is now one smiley, adorable, squish-able little peanut!  We were fast friends again.  She breezed through every set with a giant smile on her face.  Mom and dad, it was great seeing you again.  Enjoy your preview!
