Remember this cutie with his planes and snowboard? Throwback Thursday is my good excuse to share more family photos from K’s session. We wanted the session to be really fun, candid, joyful, and kinetic, so we laughed, smiled, and kept things moving. Don’t you almost want to be a part of this family after seeing these? Such a sweet session from last summer! E is walking and talking now, and it’s fun to look back at how little she was in her lovely parents’ arms. This makes me excited for all of the outdoor family sessions coming up this summer!

This cute little guy was born on my anniversary last year!  We were first supposed to meet back when he was 3 months old, but after a few unexpected events and reschedules, I finally got to meet him and his adoring family last week!  It was worth the wait because he was as sweet as could be.  He was also at one of my favorite ages.  Crawling around our studio and full of smiles, L went with the flow in each of our sets.  Big sister did a great job holding and playing with him for our photos.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mariah, here! This preview was a TOUGH one to narrow down to just these photos. Seriously. Heidi had to come help me, haha. The planning process for this was even fun- mom and I went back and forth on Pinterest, and ended up with a ton of variety and fun shots. I love it when clients are involved in the planning (pinning) process. 9-month-old K loves books, planes, and his family snowboards, so you can see where our photo set ideas came from. 

They also wanted really fun, non-traditional family photos, which I was totally up for- wait til you see the whole series! I’ll have to do a Throwback Thursday sometime soon with the whole shoot.

This session made my whole week! These girls are just the cutest, sweetest things, and little N actually clapped for the first time during the session. We were all clapping and cheering for her as she played with blocks, and she suddenly started clapping for herself. Her face is the best- disbelief and looking at her mama, who was cheering even louder for her! 

As soon as big sisters S and M put those pettiskirts on, they were dancing around the studio. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the studio so full of giggles and they danced and posed together. Little N actually clapped for them as they danced, too!

Loved hanging out with you, M family! So happy to have caught a milestone for you!

I had so much fun last week with all of our Little Star sessions.  Winter is the perfect time for these sessions and they are always a fun way to get those milestone portraits of baby!  Mom loved all of our classic, timeless baby portraits and really wanted to show of C’s personality.  He was so adorable, I could see why!  He started off our session quite serious, but by the end he was rolling around laughing.  He especially loved stacking blocks and practicing his new crawling skills.  I loved the portraits below that incorporate his special blue blanket.  It’s always fun to capture a little piece of babyhood with the portraits we take.  And how amazing do C’s big blue eyes look with it?!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Everything about this was so fun for us- from designing the sets to hanging out with so many of our clients in one day! Anyone that booked a 2013 session with HHP was eligible for one of these free Valentine Mini sessions, and it was so awesome to be able to gift this to them. J’s shoot was so much fun! He’s coming back in for a cakesmash in a couple months for his first birthday, but mom wanted to schedule a Little Star shoot to capture him before he started walking. He’s definitely a fast crawler right now, and I bet he’ll be running by the time we see him again!

J loves water, so we created a simple nautical set for him to play in. The last shot is the studio favorite- mom wanted to get a classic baby shot, and we just love how this concept turned out. 

We’ll see you in a couple months, J! Can’t wait!

I loved my session with adorable baby H and his parents last week.  He was such a handsome little guy and he loved being in front of my camera.  His session reminded me of the magic and joy that families experience when they have a baby’s first Christmas to celebrate.  This age is so perfect for family photos as well because the variety of poses are endless.  I love watching babies interact with their parents.  The smile they give for mom and dad is like no other and it is so sweet to capture!  I keep telling everyone I know “Book a baby session between 6-9 months.  It is the BEST baby age!!”

How handsome is this little guy?!  Those lips and lashes completely melt me.  Approaching his first birthday, baby W was already on the move and boy, was he fast!  For every shot I got in focus, 10 were blurry!  He crawled, climbed, scooted and cruised around the studio for a full hour.  100% boy!  We started with some Holiday portraits and then finished the session with some classic baby sets.  I can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
