This little angel was such a joy to photograph!  She was sweet and sleepy and had the most perfect little doll face.  I traveled on location for this session and we took all of these photos right in her family’s living room.  Clearly C is a little model already!  By the end I didn’t want to stop photographing her because she was posing so perfectly.  She even gave me a few smiles!  These are just a few of my favorites.  This is going to be one giant gallery!  Can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad!

It was only a few weeks ago that I met J and B for their maternity session and they were already back to the studio again this week with their new bundle of joy!  Baby L was so much fun to photograph.  He was the perfect poser because he loved his hands spread out under his face.  He rocked every pose we tried and we were done in record time.  Enjoy your preview J and B.  Can’t wait to show you the rest!

This sweet baby boy came to visit us Monday morning and I had so much fun with his family.  He gave us a nice sleepy period on the bean bag but by the end of the session, he wanted to be awake for the action!  Luckily I had some extra binkies on hand.  We were able to get some great shots even when he was awake because he always gave us a few moments in a pose before he wanted his pacifier back!  The portrait with daddy is one of my new favorites and he was actually awake for that.  We had something completely different in mind but I wasn’t about to try it with baby awake.  Instead we opted for this shot and I’m so glad we did.  Enjoy your preview N family.  Can’t wait to show you the rest!

Brother and sister M and O were one of my two sets of twins in the studio last week!  We had a fantastic session and I was “ooohing” and “aaaaahhhing” over every image when creating this preview.  They were both so adorable and just loved being posed.  They took a little time to get settled but their parents were so laid back and with my assistant Christina helping me, it wasn’t long before they were both fast asleep and rocking all of our set ups!  Enjoy your preview!  I can’t wait to share the rest :0)

It has been some time since I have traveled on location for a newborn session, but last week I had the opportunity to visit a wonderful family and capture this special time for them.  I headed up to central mass last Wednesday to meet baby T, who is the new niece of one of my former photography students!  It was great to visit with her family again and I loved having the variety of a new location to shoot in.  My job was even more fun because T’s GG had gathered so many wonderful props for me to choose from!  It was a very hot day so we did most of the shoot right out on their deck under an awning.   Thunderstorms were in the forecast and we barely beat them for our garden shots.  It actually started sprinkling at the very end of the shoot!  I adore those outdoor shots though so I am so glad we got them in!

Baby T was quite a bit older than my typical newborns.  It was a while before the family was ready to travel down, but we always accommodate new parents’ circumstances and cross our fingers for a great shoot.  While it is hard to tell how a one month old shoot will go, I always have some tricks up my sleeve for babies who aren’t sleepy.  What baby T lacked in sleepiness, he made up for in looks.  Oh boy was this little man adorable!  I was squealing about how cute he is the whole time I was getting this preview ready.  I took quite a few detail shots of all of his beautiful little features while he was awake and I just adore every little bit of him.  It is truly like documenting a little miracle.  I included a series of those shots in the preview so you could see for yourself!  Enjoy your preview C family!

This little baby girl came all the way over from Connecticut with her family for their session last week.  When the session started, I wasn’t sure if she would fall asleep for us!  Sure enough she did and we were able to get some beautiful shots.  Baby A was an early arrival so mom brought in her own tag which I think is absolutely adorable.  We also incorporated mom’s college ring on A’s tiny toes.  Baby A also nailed the hat shot which has taken me a long time to get just right.  Those hats are not a comfy spot for baby so you have to place them just so.  The resulting shot is definitely worth the effort!  Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Baby boy A visited the studio this week and gave me quite the work out!  All of the older babies in this week have certainly been testing my baby whispering skills!  A was a very light sleeper so we had to work for each and every shot.  You’d never know it from our portraits however, he always slept just enough to get what we needed.  I couldn’t even move the bow in the special delivery shot without him jumping!  The hardest shot to pull off was definitely a portrait in dad’s police hat.  We tried numerous poses that A was not happy with.  Finally we got the shot at the end and I just love it!  In the end I think we achieved some adorable portraits.  Of course it helps that A is a simply gorgeous baby.  Beautiful skin, kissable lips and lashes to die for!  Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

We have a newborn baby in the studio every day this week… 2 on some days…. and I am LOVING every single session.  I have been gathering props for some time now and just love how different each and every session is turning out with all of them.  I loved photographing baby C and her beautiful family the other day.  Because we were away last week, most babies this week are a bit older than I normally photograph.  All close to the 2 week mark they have taken a bit longer to settle, but once they are out, they are OUT!  C was no exception and rocked so many sets, I had a very hard time choosing for her preview.  I must say that the family photos are some of my favorites.  You photographer’s checking out the blog might be interested to know that I have been shooting all of my newborn sessions lately with ONLY my 60mm macro lens.  Yep.  It’s a little extra exercise, but I’m loving the results.  Thanks for the great session baby C and family.  I loved meeting you all.  Enjoy your preview.
