This little baby girl came all the way over from Connecticut with her family for their session last week. When the session started, I wasn’t sure if she would fall asleep for us! Sure enough she did and we were able to get some beautiful shots. Baby A was an early arrival so mom brought in her own tag which I think is absolutely adorable. We also incorporated mom’s college ring on A’s tiny toes. Baby A also nailed the hat shot which has taken me a long time to get just right. Those hats are not a comfy spot for baby so you have to place them just so. The resulting shot is definitely worth the effort! Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

J and B headed down to the studio from Central Mass last week and we had a wonderful maternity session. Mom was in her last month of pregnancy and looked completely amazing. We started in the studio for all of the classic portraits and then headed outdoors for some more variety. As usual, the outdoor portraits are my favorite! Enjoy your preview J and B. Can’t wait to meet your little one!

You may recognize this smiley little girl. She was in for her 3 month appointment just a few months ago and was back last week for her 6 month shoot. 6 months is one of my very favorite ages to shoot and baby R made my job even more fun. She was full of smiles and loved the camera. She even liked my singing! Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Baby boy A visited the studio this week and gave me quite the work out! All of the older babies in this week have certainly been testing my baby whispering skills! A was a very light sleeper so we had to work for each and every shot. You’d never know it from our portraits however, he always slept just enough to get what we needed. I couldn’t even move the bow in the special delivery shot without him jumping! The hardest shot to pull off was definitely a portrait in dad’s police hat. We tried numerous poses that A was not happy with. Finally we got the shot at the end and I just love it! In the end I think we achieved some adorable portraits. Of course it helps that A is a simply gorgeous baby. Beautiful skin, kissable lips and lashes to die for! Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Remember this little peanut?
She just turned one year old!
Here she is playing with the very same bowl!:

Baby J was so much fun to photograph this week. She was full of smiles and her big blue eyes made every frame a keeper! Love those two front teeth in the last shot. My daughter was still bald at this age but baby J has a full head of gorgeous hair! She loved running all over the studio and I loved chasing her :0) Enjoy your preview S family!

We have a newborn baby in the studio every day this week… 2 on some days…. and I am LOVING every single session. I have been gathering props for some time now and just love how different each and every session is turning out with all of them. I loved photographing baby C and her beautiful family the other day. Because we were away last week, most babies this week are a bit older than I normally photograph. All close to the 2 week mark they have taken a bit longer to settle, but once they are out, they are OUT! C was no exception and rocked so many sets, I had a very hard time choosing for her preview. I must say that the family photos are some of my favorites. You photographer’s checking out the blog might be interested to know that I have been shooting all of my newborn sessions lately with ONLY my 60mm macro lens. Yep. It’s a little extra exercise, but I’m loving the results. Thanks for the great session baby C and family. I loved meeting you all. Enjoy your preview.

Last week my family took our first week off since beginning this business. While it was a much needed break from the photography business, I did break out the camera once or twice for a few summer photos on the beach. We spent one afternoon on the beach with Kerri from Sweet Indulgence and her family and let the kids dig into some tasty treats! I may have broken a lens and lost my blackberry during our travels, but overall our time off was nothing but fun! Enjoy your preview Kerri :0)

After a week away from the studio it was so nice to return to a few adorable newborn girls. I was really missing cuddling these babies! Baby P was the first in and a dream to photograph. She was sweet and sleepy and gorgeous! I planted a new garden yesterday morning and I think it is my favorite yet. My poor hydrangeas didn’t make it through our week away with no water but I must say I am very happy with the results. P was a perfect model in the new set up. We did the whole session backwards because P wasn’t sleepy at first, but as soon as we laid her in the garden, she was all zzzzzz’s. Enjoy your preview mom and dad. It was wonderful meeting you and your baby girl!

It’s been a while since we have had twins in the studio and I had forgotten how much fun they are! A and D were so good to me at our session yesterday. They were nice and sleepy and loved being posed together. They would even snuggle up into each other if they were placed too far apart. Their due date was the 4th of July so we worked really hard for the last shot below but it was well worth it. They are just so adorable! I can’t wait to share the rest with you mom and dad.
