I had so much fun with the R family this week. We had a casual, easy-going maternity session that just flew by. 3 year old C is sure to be an amazing big brother, he did so well at the shoot! I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to your family!

Guess who just turned one??

Remember him? I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I last saw baby G, but apparently he didn’t lose one ounce of cuteness. I am just full of smiles editing these. Couldn’t you just kiss those cheeks?! We had to throw him a celebration in style for his big birthday and came up with this adorable green theme to match his safari party! It is one of my favorite sets to date. Enjoy your preview!

This little doll visited the studio last week for her cake smash portrait session and she was such a joy to photograph. Besides being completely adorable, she was such a sweetheart! Her little doe eyes stole every scene. I had so much fun mom. Enjoy your preview!

I’ll admit it. I have an eyelash obsession. It was initiated by my college roommate who would endlessly apply mascara before our nights out. Now I get my fix from documenting every tiny lash on a newborn baby (and boys always have the best!). I caught myself during S’s maternity session repeatedly telling her that she had amazing lashes. I’m sure that she must have picked up on my obsession. But seriously, she had amazing lashes! I’m sure baby boy will have them as well. I can’t wait to meet him! Enjoy your preview S and K.

Baby M was already a little athlete. From the moment our session started he was kicking and squirming… even in his sleep! He definitely made me and my intern work for every shot. I always say these types of sessions are my favorite however. Alert babies need much more cuddling, and when they are as handsome as little M, it makes my job a dream! Enjoy your preview mom!

Meet one of our newest baby-planners: A! If you haven’t heard about our 2011 baby plan, check it out here. You can even sign up for our baby plan after baby is born, like A’s family did! We started his baby’s first year with a 3 month session and I already can’t wait for him to come visit again. He was so easy-going and full of smiles. I wanted to take him home! Even big sister A jumped in for a shot and I was thrilled to get them both smiling! What beautiful children! Enjoy your preview mom.

We aren’t kidding when we tell parents to come here on the way home from the hospital. Ok, we’re half kidding! But seriously, in most cases, babies who are under the one week mark are SOOO sleepy. Usually we can get twice as many sets because we spend half the time settling them to sleep. Take baby T for example. I could seriously re-do the entire portfolio section of my site with the images from his session (but who are we kidding, my site has barely been updated in a year!). He snoozed through just about every set and pose we could dream up. He had the most amazing hair and lashes. Just a newborn photographer’s dream :0) I had so much fun mom and dad, hope you did too!

This adorable baby girl came to visit the studio last week and she gave us a good run around. Just when I thought she was asleep, her little mouth would start moving and her eyes would pop wide open! And what a gorgeous little mouth she had. Her lips looked just like her mama’s. It may have taken a little extra work for each shot, but it was well worth it because once she settled, she was a perfect little model. In all honesty, sessions like these are my favorite because I get to do so much extra newborn cuddling… which is, after all, my favorite part of the job!

I wasn’t originally going to post the sneak preview from my mini sessions until their galleries went up, but we had such a fun day I just have to show it off! I loved meeting all of these gorgeous kids and even with only 15 minutes of shooting… I’m STILL going to have a hard time picking favorites! Here are some that brought me a smile from the day. Enjoy your preview. More fun to come!
