I am so excited to share this preview with you before I head out for my evening session today!  Baby D came to visit the studio this week and he was really ALL boy.  The first thing I said to his parents when they came in was “the nurses must have been crazy over this one!”  And they were.  Check out that hair!  Oh, I could just eat him up.  Not to mention the lips, lashes, and little rolls already!  He was definitely the biggest baby we’ve gotten into the branch shot…. I think Shaun’s arms might have been tired after that one!  Baby D is already a heart breaker and my camera just adored him.  I loved meeting you mom and dad, enjoy your preview and your sweet baby boy.

Baby C may be turning one, but I am happy to say that I will still be seeing more of this family this year.  Mom already has baby number 2 on the way!  Baby C had a wonderful 1st birthday session.  She was much like my daughter at this age… wanting only to be in mommy’s arms.  I must say that some of my favorite shots from the session were taken just there.  I adore the portraits of her and mom together.  C loved being outside so I think some of our best stuff was in the park.  I can’t wait to show you the rest!  Enjoy your preview!

I just have to get this preview in before I head out for sessions today!  Baby E came to the studio last week and her family has been patiently waiting for their preview!  E was such a wonderful newborn to photograph.  Her parents home maternity session was one of my favorite to date and baby E was just as good of a model as her parents!  She was sweet and sleepy and oh-so-TEENY!  She was the smallest peanut we’ve had here in a while.  Enjoy your preview C family!

Baby K was already practicing her soccer moves at our session.  Like all baby girls born a little late and close to the 2 week mark, baby K wanted to socialize more than sleep.  We did manage one little sleepy period where we were able to tuck those little kickers away for some adorable shots.  K was what I like to call a “jumper”.  The moment you touch them they send all limbs out in opposite directions!  Despite wanting to sprint off my bean bag, K was just the most beautiful little doll to photograph.  Her lips are some of the most kissable I’ve ever seen on a new born and although she was very fair, she had gorgeous long lashes.  (see below)  Am I jealous?  A little.  She was even perfection in the off moments when mom was trying to comfort her.  I just love that last shot we snuck in!  Enjoy your preview mom and dad!

Baby “Z” and his family came to the studio for their session last week and we had so much fun.  You may have noticed that we are having a little baby boom around here and I have been pulling out all of the stops to keep things interesting.  I recently bought a bunch of polka dotted fabrics and “Z” was happy to model them for me!  He took a little while to fall asleep, but once he was out, we had a great time!  The portrait with dad below is one of my favorites of all time!  Enjoy your preview.

This is what my job is all about.

This week I was privileged to photograph a very special session for a couple welcoming home their daughter, baby C.  After an emotional pregnancy, and with the support of friends and family around the country (who surprised them with our belly to baby package!), it was a joyous time for this family and I was so grateful to help them capture it.  I was actually crying taking the above portrait…. and I know if I’m crying while pressing the shutter, I’m sure to love the results!  I hope you all love these portraits as well.  Thank you for choosing me for such an important and intimate time in your lives.  I’m truly honored.

Baby D and her family came down from Massachusetts for their newborn session last holiday season.  Remember her?!

Last week they came down for D’s 6 month session and we had a great time.  It was a cloudy day but we ventured outdoors to take a few too.  D was so much fun.  I just adore this age!  Enjoy your preview!

My last newborn of the week, baby S, came to the studio with her family on the hottest day this week!  It was the first time EVER that we’ve had to put on the AC during a newborn session!  Other than us all being very warm, the session went off without a hitch.  Big sister L and dad came for the beginning of the session when we were able to get some adorable family shots.  While S was eating, I had to snap a few of L.  Both such beautiful girls!  When L and dad went out for a little lunch, we called Shaun up to help us with some of the hanging shots.  Baby S slept through it all and was a complete joy to photograph.  It was so nice meeting you all.  Enjoy your preview.
