This little girl holds a special place in my heart.  Her parents were some of my first maternity clients.  She was the first newborn I could ever get to pose propped up on her hands!  Her holiday portraits last year made my mom’s red and white striped hat famous.  Yes, it is easy to say, this is one photogenic family!  I just adore each of our sessions and can’t wait to share a few sneak peaks from baby P at one years old!  Hope you have a wonderful birthday :0)

Sweet little L came to visit this week and I had so much fun photographing her.  I must admit, I used to be a bit scared of photographing toddlers.  Back in my college years I was a camp counselor for toddlers and it was the most exhausting  job I’ve ever done!  Toddlers are on the move, tough to catch in the frame of the camera, and like to do the opposite of whatever you tell them.  Lately however, I have been loving all of the toddlers running around our studio.  They keep things fresh and they keep me laughing through the entire shoot!  Miss L was no different.  I had so much fun thinking of ways to get her smiling in front of the camera!  Enjoy your preview mom!

This sweet little girl and her parents came in last week for a newborn shoot and I had so much fun working with them all.  She was a little peanut and only a week old, so I thought for sure she would sleep.  Not her.  She wanted to stay up and enjoy her first modeling gig!  And what a model she was!  She stared straight into the camera with her big blue eyes.  She did sleep the first 15 minutes or so, and then the other 2 1/2 hours, we had to get creative.  I planted a new white garden which I think really brought out her stunning eyes.  I think we got some amazing shots at this session!  Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Do I get to photograph the cutest babies, or do I get to photograph the cutest babies?! Baby R lives right around the corner from me and I was so glad to meet her and her mommy. We celebrated her first birthday in style with a cake smash of course (is there any other way?). This girl was a peanut but she was on the move. She gave mom and I a good workout! Enjoy your preview ;0)

This little cutie pie came to visit the studio and I didn’t want her to leave. She was so sweet and happy. I just love this age! Mom brought lots of props for me to play with. The purple blanket was made by A’s grandmother and the little sailor suit is for dad who is a sailor. Thanks for coming to visit yesterday mom. I loved meeting you and A!

I seriously wanted to share this ENTIRE session as a preview. I could barely contain myself when I was editing. I must have called Shaun over to the computer 10 times to say “Isn’t this baby GORGEOUS!” And that was just for the first photo! Baby O was just as sweet as she was beautiful. I sure do love 6 month olds! Enjoy your preview mom and dad. I loved seeing you again and after you left Shaun said “We could have talked to them all day!”

This sweet little guy came to visit me in the studio with his mama and one of my neighbors. He was such a joy to photograph and I loved visiting with the girls. Baby X completely stole my heart with his adorable looks and big doe eyes. Why do boys always get the most amazing lashes?! You may notice I’ve been into this kind-of vintage processing lately. Sort of the modern version of the “sepia” that was so cool back in the 90′s. I bet you all thought sepia was still cool huh?! It’s okay, I’ll let that slide! I get bored pretty easily so I’ve been having fun playing with different tones and textures over my photographs. I thought you might like to see a before and after (below). Anytime I do this, I include both versions in the client gallery, unless one is clearly much better than the other. Enjoy your preview today!
