Reinvention inspires me. Perhaps I just bore easily, but you’ll not often catch me doing the same thing twice. Every session I’m adjusting, perfecting, trying to top what I did last time! That is one of the things I love most about photography. It can be such a transient medium.
Yesterday I had so much fun switching things up. Now that everyone is doing cake smashes, I started thinking, “This is getting a bit boring. How can I do it differently?” I’ll tell you how. Hike up the steps to the top of Bunker Hill and let this little princess smash her cake there! This baby girl was one of my favorite newborn sessions to date so I was thrilled to head into Boston and help capture her first birthday in style. Mom and dad recommended the spot and it was perfect. Baby D was adorable. She kept holding up her little finger to show us she was turning one years old! I had so much fun seeing you all again, mom, dad and D. Thank you for having me up. I truly have the most fabulous clients!
How about this cake?! Kerri Fusco, owner of the oh-so-good Sweet Indulgences, recently stopped into my studio. I knew of her from some of the fabulous sweets served at Twin Oaks Restaurant. Kerri and I were fast friends and quickly scheming up some amazing projects for this spring. I was blown away when I finally walked into her sweet-tooth heaven and I am so excited for our collaboration in the coming months. Thank you for all of your generosity Kerri and the gorgeous sweets to come ;0) Visit us on facebook: Sweet Indulgences and Heidi Hope!
These three beautiful girls came down to Rhode Island this week for a fun portrait session. Given their young ages, I suggested we hit the park and take advantage of the sunshine so that the older two could run around. At 3 years old, oldest sister E could have sat in front of my camera all day! 17 month old G had other plans. She was on the move! Baby M just went with the flow and watched her two older sisters in amazement! I had so much fun chasing these girls and capturing their portraits. I hope you adore these as much as I do mom!
I have to get one more preview up before I call it quits for the day. This little girl was so much fun to photograph in the studio today. She was full of smiles and sass, a total ham! I just love seeing all of these bright colors again. I can’t wait to head outdoors soon! Enjoy your preview mom and Happy Birthday R ;0)
Baby L came to the studio on Friday but wasn’t feeling very well from his teeth :0( Luckily he was so completely adorable that it didn’t matter one bit for his portraits! We still got some great shots mom and dad! Enjoy your preview!
Do I get to photograph the cutest babies, or do I get to photograph the cutest babies?! Baby R lives right around the corner from me and I was so glad to meet her and her mommy. We celebrated her first birthday in style with a cake smash of course (is there any other way?). This girl was a peanut but she was on the move. She gave mom and I a good workout! Enjoy your preview ;0)
Wow! It has been one busy week! Lot’s of new babies born, first birthdays celebrated, and a few little ones still left to visit the studio tomorrow. This job is certainly full of joyful moments! This little man was one of my two first birthdays this week. He was absolutely adorable and my camera loved him. Enjoy your preview mom and dad.
These two cuties came to visit the studio this weekend and I had so much fun with mom and dad trying to get both of their attention at the same time! They had such distinctly different personalities, it was fun to watch. We got lots of adorable individual shots as well as some portraits together that are so sweet. Twins are definitely double the cuteness!
Baby E and his parents came to visit on Saturday and boy did he give me a workout! He was so adventurous, we had to be very creative to catch him on camera! At the end of the session we finally cleared everything out of the middle of the studio and just let him run wild. That’s when we got some of the biggest smiles. I can’t wait for the warm (and dry!) weather so we can start heading outdoors for these sessions.
This weekend was lots of fun as I got to spend my Saturday with four sweet babies at the studio. You may remember this adorable baby girl from her newborn session here. This time the family came down to RI to visit me at the studio and I was so thrilled to see them all again. O is still a little doll baby like the weeks after she was born. Big blue eyes and lots of smiles. I know I say it all of the time, but I just love 6 month olds! Enjoy your preview mom and dad!
I don’t believe I’ve brought my camera home since January. So much for my resolution! I enjoyed a Sunday off this week and spent the day with S and G gardening and painting eggs for Easter. G has not been liking the camera lately, but today she was a total ham! At 1 1/2 years old, she sang the whole alphabet on camera and actually flashed me a few smiles while I was documenting her work. And hard at work she was! This girl could color for hours. Here are some of my favorites from our Easter egg painting.
