This is what my job is all about.
This week I was privileged to photograph a very special session for a couple welcoming home their daughter, baby C. After an emotional pregnancy, and with the support of friends and family around the country (who surprised them with our belly to baby package!), it was a joyous time for this family and I was so grateful to help them capture it. I was actually crying taking the above portrait…. and I know if I’m crying while pressing the shutter, I’m sure to love the results! I hope you all love these portraits as well. Thank you for choosing me for such an important and intimate time in your lives. I’m truly honored.

Wow… I am nearly speechless. I know just how much Dave and Alison have wanted this baby and it really shows in that first picture. Just amazing… probably the most beautiful and heartwarming thing I have ever seen. Charlotte is already gorgeous, but these photos are just stunning!

I am not an easy person to make cry but that first picture….Yup I shed a tear! AMAZING!
We lost our first daughter a year ago…a full term loss. We had 4 days with Moira. Charlotte is our rainbow baby and Hedi has been absolutely amazing with allowing a gift registry so money could be raised so my wife and I could afford professional camera work. Heidi knew our needs and how to handle our fears and concerns perfectly. The two sessions were joyous and celebratory and all about the beauty of family. Thank you all for your warm comments and thank you Heidi for really going above and beyond and getting this to work.
