When it came time to start brainstorming some ideas for some new birth announcements for the Heidi Hope Studio, I immediately thought of all our Moms who request we match our custom products to their child’s nursery. So to start off our new nursery inspired birth announcement collections we decided to go with something gender neutral and classic baby. Pottery Barn’s Little Lambie Bedding collection is perfect for inspiration. These new designs are not only available to our clients, but also coming soon to our templates collection available here on the blog. Enjoy a sneak peak of our newest designs.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this fabulous family. These 3 siblings are giving a gift to their father of a portrait of all three of them together. I’m so excited for him to see them in print! We were originally scheduled for a session back in August, but after a few date changes, we ended up finally getting the chance to meet just last week! We ended up with a chilly day, but they braved it to head outdoors and capture some formal portraits for their family. I actually love the look of the gray winter background with their dark clothing and the formal feel to the photos. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Here is a belated preview for one of my adorable baby planners. Last Friday the traffic on the blog was so great I couldn’t even login to post this! I checked my analytics and we had over 1700 visitors on the blog Friday, so I suppose that was why! WOWZERS! Thanks for visiting everyone. Now that things have slowed down, I can finally share his adorable session with you.
This little guy slays me. First, he smiles in EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. Then, he has a little dimple that will make anyone fall in love with him. Another one of my baby planners, baby J, is already 6 months old. He visited the studio last week to play and we captured lots of adorable portraits of this milestone. Mom and dad also brought along his Halloween costume, and I’m pretty sure that monkey shot might just make my whole month. I could eat him up! Enjoy your sneak peek!

We had a marathon session last week for sweet baby M. It was worth all of the extra cuddles for the precious images we captured. Who am I kidding? All of the extra cuddles are the best part of the job! I am loving that little pumpkin hat and all of it’s fall cuteness. It looked just perfect on baby M. We even switched up our stick shot to make it more fitting of the season. It’s beginning to feel like autumn around here!

For some fall outfit inspiration, Denise from Polka Dot Panda in Narragansett sent us over some great fun and comfortable outfit selections from her store. Tea Collection is a long time favorite here, and the fall line, inspired by the designer’s recent trip to Mexico, tops our list this season. The neutrals work well for fall or winter sets and are cute and easy as well! The best part is, your children will get plenty of wear out of these selections all season long.

Kerri and I have been talking about doing a shoot like this since we began working together. I knew if I didn’t finally schedule it in for her, we would put it off forever. There are always dozens of reasons to put off getting family portraits. I hear women say things all the time like: “we’re too busy”, “my husband works too much”, “the kids’ schedules are crazy”, “i’d like to loose 5 more pounds”, “maybe in the summer when we have nice tans”, “we just bought new furniture so it’s not really in our budget”, “I’ll never be able to pull all of our outfits together” and there are truly hundreds more! Then all of a sudden your kids are in first grade and you still don’t have a decent picture of yourself with them! I used these excuses for three years and finally booked my own family portrait session this summer. I was SO happy and grateful for capturing those moments with my baby girl and our little family! That’s when I told Kerri we were setting a date for good this time. I know just how it feels to be so busy running a business that often months pass by with as little as a blink. So we finally did it! And I’m so happy we did! We started the shoot at Sweet Indulgence so Kerri could get some updated images for her new website, then headed outdoors to capture some family portraits where the light was a little more suitable. Eden XO did an amazing job pampering Kerri before the shoot and Providence Diamond Company lent us some gorgeous jewels to finish the look! I love the way they turned out, and hope she does too :0) Enjoy your sneak peek!
Oh! And if you aren’t already a fan of Sweet Indulgence on facebook, you should head on over now. They are giving away that gorgeous pink mixer this Friday!!

I can’t help it. I’m really sad for the cake smash sessions of our baby plan clients! It is amazing how quickly babies change during that first year and the first birthday is the biggest milestone of them all! (sniffle) I can’t believe it has already been a year since I cuddled little baby S. Now she is already turning one year old! After having my moment of sadness at seeing another baby planner graduate, I got really excited about our shoot. I couldn’t wait to see the whole family again. Mom mentioned that S’s room was decorated with owls so I browsed Pinterest for a bit and came up with our set! If you aren’t addicted to pinterest yet, you really should be. You can see what inspires me by checking out my boards… including the owl board that inspired this set! It was one of my favorite sets so far, and Sweet Indulgence made us the perfect cake complete with chocolate owls. Enjoy your sneak peek!
