All of my favorite sessions in one- family, toddler, and maternity! Roger Williams is now one of my favorite locations, too…it delivered beautiful light and flawless backdrops, as always. It took a little bit for the morning sun to warm up, but when it did, we had awesome t-shirt weather.
The C family chose a casual, classic wardrobe, and it matched their easygoing personalities perfectly. Mom wasn’t sure how little B would react to the camera, but we had him smiling and running around in no time. He loved tickling and kissing his ‘baby brother’, exploring the bridges, and talking to the resident ducks and geese.
C Family, hope you love the preview! Can’t wait for you to see the whole shoot.

We had a completely lovely shoot on Friday with A for her highschool senior portraits. She had everything you’d need for a perfect senior portrait shoot- great wardrobe, on-location hair and makeup stylist, and an up-for-anything attitude!
These are a couple of our favorite images, but there are a LOT more over on the senior blog. Make sure to click on over there to check it out! A’s Photoshoot at the Heidi Hope Senior Portraiture Blog

I met baby B and his mom at the park for the studio’s first outdoor Little Star session of the year! The morning light was gorgeous, but it was pretty windy out there. Good thing baby B had a gorgeous handmade sweater handy, and rocked the windblown look! We did a couple looks at the park, then headed into the warm studio for a few more. Just look at those blue eyes!
I’m looking forward to lots more outdoor sessions booked for the next couple months! Enjoy your sneak peek, J and B.

Mariah, here! Heidi and I wanted to test out a few outdoor locations this morning, so we thought- why not do a maternity shoot while we’re at it? The weather was perfect, and we headed just down the road from the studio to a little spot by the bay. I love the location, and the reeds and water matched the pastel styling perfectly. We brought some Organic Bloom frames for props, that you may recognize from a certain gender reveal shoot!
Needless to say, Heidi, Shaun, and Giuliana made my job pretty easy, and I love the results.

The C family visited the studio for a session last week, but the weather was so gorgeous, we decided we had to head outdoors. We had a perfect day and FINALLY a little foliage to work with as our backdrop. It was mid-day sun, so we had to hunt for the perfect little spot of shade, but I’m pretty certain we found it! I love all of the golden tones in these and the light filtering through the leaves. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I can’t believe another one of my baby planners is 6 months old already! This little guy still looks just like his newborn photos, except for those amazing blue eyes that have come out. He is a total combination of mom’s and dad’s looks. We had a beautiful morning to photograph out at the park and the leaves are finally starting to change colors around here. It certainly isn’t the autumn of years past, but it made for some beautiful pictures in the early morning light. Z didn’t mind the chilly day one bit! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Someday, when I no longer read my daughter bedtime stories, I will shoot every session at sunset. The light is glorious. The haze softens all of the edges. There is something inherently warm and lovely about every image. Right now I don’t venture out very much at sunset because it is my family time, however there are a few times each summer I make an exception for a few lucky families! Like the W family. I’ve photographed the kids before and already loved them. This was my first time meeting dad, so it was fun to capture the whole family this time around! Enjoy your sneak peek.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family for almost 2 years over the course of 4 sessions. They are easy-going, funny, and always dressed fabulously… so you can imagine my disappointment when I heard they were moving to Tennessee. In fact, I believe our entire office let out a collective “awwwwww” when we heard the news. I was so thrilled when I saw them in my calendar this summer and learned that they would be traveling through Rhode Island for portraits with us on their way to visit family! We had a beautiful day to head outdoors and create some colorful portraits to decorate their new home. Maybe next year we’ll have to come visit you mom and dad! Enjoy your sneak peek!
