We’ve had some pretty gorgeous maternity sessions lately! This one is no exception. T is completely stunning, and it was such a pleasure to photograph her, her husband I, and their very well-behaved labradoodle, Rufus!
We started out in the studio for a few simple, clean shots against the window and with our wrap. T and I were so laid-back and fun, and even helped me try out a shot I’ve wanted to get for a while! Rufus patiently waited for us outside, and we headed to the park with him next. Normally, you hope for one good shot when you’ve included a dog in family photos. I didn’t have to worry with this one- he posed for group shots, sat patiently while I blurred the background, and walked alongside mom and dad like a pro. Of course, we compensated him for his time with treats.
T and I, we can’t wait to meet your little one! Congrats!

When we took these photos, K was 6 days away from her due date. This girl might just get valedictorian of being 9 months pregnant- she was stunningly beautiful, up for anything I asked her to do, and simply glowing alongside her husband, S.
It’s always a privilege to capture expectant parents, but this session seemed extra sweet. Any moment could be the moment they meet their baby, find out if they have a son or daughter, and become a family for the first time. The photos we captured show them as they were- totally in love, happy, and ready to meet their little one. S even surprised K with candy at the end of their session!
Congrats, K and S. Thanks for letting us capture you!

These guys were just the sweetest, most laid-back family. I felt like I was just hanging out with them while shooting- not conducting a photoshoot! As you would expect with 2-year-old twins, most of their session was spent moving- chasing J and L, getting them to run into mom and dad’s arms, spinning, jumping, running, and playing. I bet they had a good nap that afternoon!
The colors that mom chose were beautiful, and went so well with the greens and blues of our bayside location. When I chatted with her before the session, she said that she wanted candids and natural shots of J and L. I love how everything came out- the candid, photojournalistic style definitely brought out everyone’s personalities, and showed the sweet connection between the whole family.
L family, it was great to hang out with you.
Enjoy your preview!

Little V is one of my Cameo Kids, a model and actress that has had quite the career so far! I photographed her very first comp card a few years ago, and she’s been rocking commercials and photoshoots ever since. It seems like every time I check back in with Cameo, she’s booked another job!
V needed an updated comp card that showed her range and new look as an older kid. She effortlessly switched between bohemian, rockstar, sporty, and classic looks. We also did a quick shoot at the end with her sister (just a tiny baby when I saw her last!), and her beautiful mom. Looking at these photos, is it any surprise she’s been so in-demand? I can’t wait to see where she goes from here!

It was a great day to play at the park, and play we did! From goose-watching (there were literal flocks of geese at EVERY part of Roger Williams) to flower picking, to exploring the Japanese gardens, this little one didn’t stop moving the whole session. I’m glad we stopped at this patch of purple flowers- she loved picking them and giving them to me and her mom. It created some quiet moments where her sweetness really shined.
The Little Star sessions have been so much fun for me- it’s fulfilling to really connect with one little model and capture the different facets of their personalities. And they tend to be great workouts with 2-4 year olds!
J, great to meet you and little H!

This whole session was just…bright! Bright colors, bright smiles, bright little models, and a sunshiny day for photographing them. The goal of the session was to capture the real interactions between the girls and their family, and I’m so pleased with how it all came together. I really love the shots where they’re candidly interacting as siblings, as a family, or as mother and daughter.
The girls were shy for only a second at the beginning, and then burst into motion and smiles. Sweet little C wanted to do everything her older sister S did, and was pretty good at keeping up with all the running, jumping and laughing! I kept them moving throughout most of the rest of the session, and I’m sure they had a good nap that afternoon. Not before stopping by Sweet Indulgence, though!
C family, thanks for letting me capture you! Hope you enjoyed the cupcakes!

This first picture is just too cute not to post. Baby M wasn’t too sure about our Tickle-Me-Elmo, and made this face every time I tried to make him laugh with it. Luckily, M was pretty sure Mickey Mouse was an okay character, so he stayed in the studio with us for the rest of the session. Mickey managed to get some pretty cute smiles!
The plan was to do a sporty look, a classic look, and then head outside for a couple shots outdoors. M rocked his baseball look, and when we got outside, couldn’t stop laughing at the family dog running through the grass. Pretty cute!
C family, thanks for coming in!

When R’s mom called to book a Little Star session with us, the girls at HHP were excited. “She’s so cute, and so polite!” they said. I was really looking forward to getting to photograph her myself.
When the day came, we got a beautiful Summery morning down by the beach to shoot. The girls at the studio were right- she was sweet as can be, holding my hand as we walked to each location. From playing with bubbles to duck-watching, she breezed through her session, and was a dream to photograph. We got some shots with and without her glasses, which reminded me of the ones I used to wear as a kid.
M and R, thanks for spending a morning with me! Enjoy your preview.

We planned a shoot by the water for Baby J’s session, and it was a beautiful, sunny day for it! However, the ‘sea breeze’ (okay, a little more than a breeze) had us beat after a few minutes on the beach. Baby J was a trooper for his windblown look.
When we moved a little inland, we found the perfect patch of sparkly morning light to shoot in, and it turned out to be the perfect ‘Spring’ background! A happy turn of events.
Back at the studio, we had J smiling through a couple more sets. I LOVE his giraffe outfit..I had only seen that hat on newborns, but it’s adorable on older babies.
C family, enjoy your preview!
