These images make me smile every time I look at them.
Little C has SUCH a curious, bright, happy personality, and it shows in every single one! His little laugh is infectious, too- I don’t think I stopped smiling and laughing the whole session, either.
C’s mama and grandma came to the shoot, and you can tell he absolutely adores them both- in the shot of him and his mama, he’s beaming at grandma walking over. They helped by throwing leaves with C, which gave us the last series of the most adorable leaf throwing shots ever!
Thanks for hanging out with me at the park, C!

K and little H did a surprise photoshoot for H’s daddy, who’s deployed in Japan right now! We went to the park for some casual, fun shots with the foliage.
H was such a ham, and has such a fun personality! He made us laugh with his poses, smiled on cue, and danced and jumped for me. He was such a sweetheart with his mom, too- hugging, kissing, and running into her arms.
These will be such a great gift, K! Thanks for spending the afternoon with us, and safe travels back from Hawaii!

The gorgeous weather continued into last Thursday for us with our Foliage shoots. The sparkly light through the trees makes such a fabulous backdrop for photographs!
I think the J family had fun during their shoot!
G was so good with her brother- holding his hand, kissing him, and even snuggling mom for a couple shots. J was on the move, so we kept him moving: flying, running, jumping, and throwing leaves!
Enjoy the preview, J family!

I always get excited to see L and A on my schedule! I’ve had fun photographing them since A was a newborn and mom has been bringing them down to the studio ever since. L has been a great big brother from day one and it’s amazing to see the little person A has grown into. We did a little bit of everything at this session, and in an effort to save some for their Holiday cards, here are just a few favs. Something about A’s gorgeous white dress really captured my eye in black and white, what do you think?! Enjoy your sneak peek!

These two were a blast to work with! 9-month old twins A and J were the cutest little models in their plaid and knit sweaters. We got plenty of shots of the two of them by themselves, but I love these of them together.
It was awesome to meet you guys! Enjoy your preview!

The K family was so fun to hang out with! C and M loved playing with our vintage wagon, and didn’t want to leave the park at the end of the session. C was a great big brother to M, and I love the shots we got of them together!

Our first foliage shoot of 2012! The park location didn’t disappoint with color. This family lives right around the corner from our foliage location, so it was even more meaningful to have their family photos taken there!
Little B and C were happy as can be to play in the leaves! I love the purple theme of their outfits, and how well it went with the Fall colors in the background.
Great to meet you, O family!

Little K came to visit us for his first birthday, and he was so fun to hang out with! He has such a spunky little personality, and it definitely shows in his portraits.
He LOVES trucks and cars, so we brought out our antique car for him to play with, and I don’t think there was an inch of the studio he didn’t cover with it.
He also loves puppies! We got him into his adorable puppy Halloween costume for a few shots, then HIS puppy, Dutch, made an appearance in the cake smash! Too cute!

This shoot has turned out to be one of my favorites! Mom had the idea of doing a shoot based around little C’s suit that he wore recently at a wedding. He was bound to outgrow it quickly, so she wanted to do a “Pressy Messy” shoot with formalwear- and let him play in it to his heart’s content!
With dad’s matching suit and mom’s sequin dress, don’t they look like they belong in a catalog?
We did a couple formal looks, then changed into a more casual outfit for some photojournalistic shots. I love the shot of C and his dad with their baseball gear!
Can’t wait to show you the rest, P family!

If there was a leaderboard for “Best Dressed Baby: Fall 2012″, M would most certainly be on it. I can’t even handle the sportcoat with elbow patches! He looked perfectly dapper for his one-year formal portraits, and effortlessly pulled off a few vintage-inspired fall looks.
His birthday party theme was Dr. Suess, and we ran with that for our cakesmash! Sweet Indulgence created another perfect Cat in The Hat cake, and we had so much fun making truffula trees in the studio for it. Thing 1 and Thing 2 made another appearance, too. I think it turned out awesome, and M seemed to agree!
Happy Birthday, M! We can’t wait to meet your new younger sibling soon!
