Baby D is already a little heart-breaker.  The second mom put that little hat on him, I was gushing.  He was dressed to the nines and just take a look at those lashes!  We celebrated his birthday in style with a cake smash at the studio.  Already a fan of Sweet Indulgence, I think mom and dad were even more excited to try the cake than D was!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Oh my, how I’ve loved watching this little one grow.  She has been photogenic since the day she was born (and I should know, because I had the pleasure of photographing her only a few days later).  She has a smile that lights up the room and eyes that melt my camera… and just about everyone’s heart!  I even remember her smiling during her newborn shoot.  I must say it was all harder to catch this time around because little C is now on the move.  She explored the whole studio from top to bottom and I loved capturing every moment of it.  She was slow to warm up to the cake, but once she dug in, she DUG IN!  By the end, she didn’t want us to take it away from her.  In her defense, it was a really yummy cake!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I still remember her newborn session like it was yesterday. She was so full of smiles and had the best curly hair! Today, she’s still full of smiles, has the best curly hair, and is turning one year old! Happy birthday R. It was so great to see you all again. Enjoy your sneak peek!

How cute is this little guy?!  I adore those big brown eyes and little curls around his ears.  W was full of personality too.  I love the second shot below especially.  The phone rang in the other room and he put his hand right up to his ear like he was answering it!  We finished our shoot with a cake smash to celebrate W’s first birthday.  I love the soft blues of the set.  So classic “baby boy”!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

M and C visited the studio last week to celebrate their first birthday with a cake smash!  We started our session with some family portraits.  Such a gorgeous family!  Then we set the cakes down and let them have a ball.  I love how the colors of this set turned out.  They’re so perfectly summer!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was so excited to see this family on the schedule last week!  I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them for the past two years and watched them grow from a family of four, to a family of five!  Mom is amazingly cool at juggling her 4 boys, getting everyone into the studio, outfits co-ordinated and keeping everyone laughing.  From their very first session, through mom’s maternity and N’s newborn, portraits of their family have remained some of my all time favorites.  This session was no exception!  We pulled the colors for this cake smash from a painting in N’s nursery.  N went straight for the Sweet Indulgence cake… HEAD FIRST!  I’m laughing as I edit these.  They might still be finding frosting when he blows his nose!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Last week we traveled to Boston to photograph some of my favorite newborns who are already about to celebrate their first birthday!  Last I saw baby C she was a sleepy little angel.  At one year old she was on the move and a social butterfly like her mommy!  She reminded me of my own daughter at that age with how chatty she was.  Of course those gorgeous blue eyes stole the show in every shot.  We took a few quick family portraits at the park and then headed indoors for the main event: the cake smash!  Mom said C adores Minnie Mouse so we designed a posh little Minnie theme for her.  Sweet Indulgence made us the most adorable Minnie Mouse cake, complete with ears!  Baby C turned out to be one of our messiest cake smashes ever!  She just loved playing in all that cake and enjoyed every last bite.  Enjoy your sneak peek mom and dad!

1 year old L and her big brother, 4 1/2 year old C were so sweet (not to mention adorable) that I wanted them to stay and play all day!  4 years old is quickly becoming one of my favorite ages as all of the children who have recently come in at that age have been a dream in front of the camera.  Polite, full of smiles, and so loving towards their younger siblings.  Maybe I’m so used to the toddler crowd that I’m delightfully shocked when a little one follows directions so well!  haha  Well, C was an awesome helper on his little sis’s big day.  We started the session with some fun family portraits and moved on to baby L’s first birthday cake smash.  I love the colors mom chose for the background.  So perfectly sweet!  Enjoy your sneak peek!
