9 days before our session, baby H was born weighing over 10 pounds! I love big baby boys because they always seem to be the best sleepers for me. Plus, how could you not fall in love with those chubby cheeks and adorable baby rolls? Baby H was so good to me and snoozed right through our session. Mom and dad brought in the awesome weathered fish decorations from his nursery to incorporate into one of our sets. Mom had shown me photos of his nursery before our session together and it is so cool and unique! I can’t wait to see these portraits hanging in there. H even ended with plenty of giant newborn smiles while mom was loving on him during our family portraits. Talk about a happy boy! Enjoy your sneak peek.

I loved my session with sweet baby P last week. Her lips were to-die-for, so I couldn’t help capturing a few close ups. Look out Angelina! We planted a new garden to bring some color into the studio and P looked so lovely sleeping peacefully in it. She was even super sleepy resting on dad’s shoulder. Usually that is a shot that has quite a few funny out takes, but P was the perfect little model for us! Can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I last met this beautiful family when they welcomed newborn Q into the world almost 2 years ago. Remember this beauty?

I was so thrilled to capture Q as a big sister this time around! At almost 2 years old she was so sweet with her little brother C. We focused much of our session on capturing everyone together as a family. Of course I had to get a couple of individuals of Q as well! With the help of Elmo we managed to pull of some beautiful portraits of both siblings. I couldn’t get over how much Q and C look alike as newborns. Then C made his big photo debut with some classic newborn portraits to finish off our session. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet newborn L reminded me so much of my own daughter as a newborn. Everyone used to always say “all she does is sleep!”. Yeah, when you’re here holding her. The second you put her down her eyes pop open! She never really had that “sleepy newborn” period. G was a social butterfly and as soon as I met baby S, I knew she was just the same way. She wanted to stay up and enjoy the party. I wasn’t sure we’d ever get her to sleep, but we finally did and we had a wonderful session. L is such a gorgeous baby girl and she looked perfect curled up in every pose. I love the hot pink chair we incorporated from her parent’s company Rental’s Unlimited! Mom picked it out to match L’s nursery and the adorable pettiskirt complimented it perfectly. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Besides all of this gorgeous weather, another thing I’m enjoying about our early spring this year is the flowers that are already in bloom! Normally a flower can not be found in early March, but this year I was so excited to see the beautiful color of flowers dotting our local flower shops early. Mom mentioned that she loved color and all of our garden set ups in her pre-session information. Our garden has been something fun and out-of-the-ordinary that we’ve been creating for our clients each spring for the past few years, but it usually isn’t until Easter that we can find flowers in the stores (and I’m not one for fake flowers). After spying those first blooms around town, I decided to call mom on the morning of S’s session to see if she would like us to go ahead and plant an early garden for them. We found some pretty purple blossoms and S settled right into them. When S wasn’t snoozing in the garden, big brother O did an amazing job holding her and I know the portraits of them together will be some of mom and dad’s favorites. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Beautiful baby A visited the studio last week and we had a sweet wintry session together. One of my favorite portraits of the day is A curled up in the tiny red bonnet. She looks just like Snow White with her porcelain skin and ruby red lips! While we’ve had an unusually warm winter, it actually snowed as A was coming home from the hospital so our snow shoe set was still perfect for her. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I feel like it was just yesterday that I saw A’s parents for their maternity session… wait… it almost was! A’s mom was one of our many maternity sessions recently where mom went into early labor just days after our session together. I’m starting to think I work better than castor oil! Beautiful baby A was born soon after our session and I had the pleasure of meeting mom and dad’s new addition a little early. A was so much fun to photograph. Mom and dad brought in the adorable little wagon and I knew we had to work it in, even though A just barely fit! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Baby C started his session wide awake. We took some beautiful family portraits and great details of his wide eyes looking straight into the lens. Once he did fall asleep he really rocked it. Dad brought in his guitar and we managed to pull of the composite below that I just adore! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby D and his parents visited the studio last week for D’s newborn session. I had so much fun looking back over this session for the preview because we took so many unique portraits during our time together. Mom and dad brought in some great props for me to incorporate and new props always inspire me to try something fresh! I had to post one of D in the adorable Yoda hat they found on Etsy for the Star Wars fans out there. I also loved the edgy style of dad’s scarf and the set we came up with for it. D rocked every shot! Enjoy your preview!

It had been almost a week since I cuddled my last newborn so I was thrilled to meet baby J last week! He was a vocal little guy and let me know just how he wanted to be posed! I love all of that soft baby hair and his long dark lashes. Swoon! Enjoy your sneak peek!
