Baby S was perfection.  I adored capturing every last detail for mom and dad.  He slept away our whole session together, only waking up at the end looking for food!  Some of my favorite portraits are of the whole family together.  Often times new parents aren’t feeling particularly photogenic, but I always try to convince them to jump into a few because I know a year from now (or when their little one is about to enter preschool…. or head to the prom…. or off to college) they will cherish nothing more than these memories.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

We certainly have had a busy few weeks at the studio, but thankfully these babies have been soooo good to me lately!  Baby B and his family had a dream session last week.  Mom and dad were so happy and in love with their little boy, they were up to do anything.  Easy going parents = easy going newborn.  Baby B just slept through our whole session without a peep!  Although I have many favorites from this session, the family ones certainly top them all in my book.  The love in their faces is nearly makes me cry!  Of course B rocked every set we put him in.  The Bruins jersey is especially fun.  What a cool way to commemorate the year B entered the world!  I bet he heard a few of those games in mom’s tummy too :0)  Enjoy your sneak peek!

It is such a joy for me to watch families grow.  Lately we’ve been having more and more clients coming in to the studio with baby number 2!  Often I don’t see an older sibling for years, so it is amazing to see how they’ve grown, and meeting their new sibling often brings back memories of their own newborn session.  I remember photographing baby T as a newborn like it was yesterday.  Now approaching two years old, T was an amazing big brother.  He was so sweet and proud.  I had as much fun playing with him between our sets as I did photographing his new baby sister.  Gorgeous newborn L was perfect through out our session.  She sure did like to eat, but after each feeding she slept, blissfully unaware of the commotion around her.  Mom mentioned her love of hydrangeas, so I ran to my mothers on my lunch break and picked some out of the yard for the bottom set which turned out to be some of my favorite images from the shoot.  Can’t wait to show you the rest mom and dad!

I was so honored when this family chose to travel from London to our studio for their maternity and newborn sessions… and also a little nervous!  I knew that baby A wouldn’t be traveling out until she was around 1 month old.  With any baby, the session always follows the baby’s lead.  There are never any guarantees when working with newborns and after 2 weeks of age, things are very unpredictable.  Some are super sleepy from the moment they are carried through the door, and others need to be cluster fed throughout the session, spending much of their time awake.  The hours leading up to the session and the feeding before the shoot also make a big difference in how it progresses.  It turned out that baby A pleasantly surprised all of us!  Mom and dad followed all of our advice to get ready for the session (which is SO IMPORTANT even for the youngest of babies) and baby A slept like a dream through out our 4 hours together.  Not only do we have amazing images from her first trip to the US, but A’s parents also chose to be our first clients featured in a new offering we will be unveiling soon that combines fine art photography and videography to capture all the emotion, joy, and beauty of your baby’s first days of life.  You can see a little sneak peek of them being filmed below!  Enjoy your preview!

I loved getting to know this family last week for their newborn session with baby F.  The first grandson of the family, baby F was already being showered with love by the whole family who traveled to Boston to see him!  He had moments of sleepiness and moments wide awake (as you can see below!), but all in all, we ended up getting a great variety of images!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Oh this little man was such a perfect newborn to photograph.  He was sleepy and cuddly and had the chubbiest little cheeks.  Don’t you want to just smooch that face?!  Our sessions have been super hot lately with all of the humidity in the summer air, but the babies just love it.  They are so much sleepier with the summer heat.  Who can blame them really, I think mom, dad, and I are usually ready to pass out too!  A rocked so many adorable sets, it was hard to narrow it down!  Keep an eye out for your gallery tomorrow mom and dad!

Newborn baby M was so perfectly gorgeous.  She had the most beautiful skin and tiny pink lips.  Mom and dad were absolutely in love with her and it was such a joy to witness.  With 5 previews on their way today, I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking!  Enjoy your preview!

Baby D was so fun to photograph at just 6 days old.  He had me laughing our entire session.  Although he was super sleepy, he had his mind made up about just how he wanted to be posed.  He is SURE to be an athlete because he was so strong he would jump just about every time I positioned him!  One of my favorite shots is on dad’s Harvard football jersey.  Then when dad picked him up, he looked about the size of a football!  I love the images in dad’s hands because it really shows how tiny D is.  Enjoy your preview!

Baby W was one very sleepy little man.  He slept his way through his sister’s whole session.  In fact, I almost forgot he was there!  He woke up for some lunch and soon fell back to sleep for his own debut!  Definitely one dreamy little newborn.  I was also impressed with his big sister lasting over FOUR hours in our studio!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a two year old make it that long being so well behaved.  I can already tell she is going to be an amazing big sister.  Thank you for the wonderful day H family!

O’s session was so perfect I want to share the whole thing here, but I must leave a few surprises for mom and dad in their gallery!  So here are just a couple of peeks.  Baby O was a doll.  Perfect little features and fabulous hair.  How could she not be?   Just look at how gorgeous mom is.  I’ll tell you, every picture of me as a new mom is banned from being shown publicly!  haha  Such a beautiful family and such a joy to capture.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
